Custom Music

I think I've isolated the problem

Added a title and description to scenario properties then fired up the game and it started playing my custom music :D

I then took out the title and description and when I fired it up after that it played the default music.

So the answer for me was putting in a title and description!

KingArthur... Ah Yes, the Simple Direct Things ...Glad you discovered that. The game cannot read what is not Labeled...wish all Game problems were that easy. :)

Great, I'll give it a try before I start my next game, I thought the search folders box was the important one.

Let me know if it works for you Pounder at least then we'll know it's something quirky like Plotinus says. I can't think of a logical explanation for it.

While we are speaking about music.

Is there a way to have a little control on the musics which are played?

or are they just looped?

Because in the Napoleonic scenarion I wanted to do after I've finished my mod in march 2009, I'd like that when you select Britain, it plays the british music, but when you select France, it plays French music

El Justo - I'm really glad it worked for you too.

Steph - you can sort of do that with the music if you name your files the same as the default ones and don't use a Music.txt file.

The default music plays in a particular order depending on culture groups. So long as you can split Britain and France over different culture groups this will work.

I'm not sure whether on finishing the culture specific music it moves onto the other groups and then loops. This was all in a thread I read (and will dig out for you). Of course this limits the number of unique tracks you can have unless you can merge all music you want into 1 big, single file.

Here's the link http://forums.civfanatics.com/showpost.php?p=2290123&postcount=3 - the info was posted by Hikaro Takayama.
