    CYBRXKHAN'S DIPLOMACY MUSIC THREAD

A Diplomacy Music Resource for Modders

Music technically isn't "graphics", but... This thread will be providing diplomacy music downloads for any modders out there who wish to provide unique and appropriate music for leaders and civs in their mods. Each "set" of diplomacy music will include 2-3 related songs that modders can use for each civ or leader.

All of these soundtracks are those that I have gathered up through my years of modding; a number of these have been used in CivGold, as well as my own mods, such as World of Legends and the Civ of the Week series.

I am also willing to take requests if anybody needs music for a specific leader or civ, though I can't guarantee I'll find anything that works.

If you would like to use these in your mod, please feel free - just remember to give credit! :D

YOU MAY ALSO WANT TO SEE THIS TUTORIAL BY PURPLEXUS IF YOU ARE HAVING TROUBLE ADDING THE DIPLOMACY MUSIC TO YOUR MOD, OR IF YOU DON'T KNOW HOW. Please look at it before posting questions in my thread, thank you!

Nah here is fine, when people look for new leaderheads, they also look for music to go along with the leaderhead.

Heck, i'll include a link to here in the database.

Here are some more diplo soundtracks, used in LoR. Most have these are taken from the Wolfshanze mod. You can add them to your modpack to increase the amount of diplo music available. My attachement storage limit is almost hit, and I'd like to delete these, so let me know when you have them, or if you're not going to use them, so I know I can delete them.

Since you say you're taking requests, I have a major need for some diplo music for Dido, as I don't think Hannibal's would fit her well. It'd also be nice to have a good ancient music track for Hitler and Bolivar, and a Late Track for Hitler. :deal:

Hey, thanks for sharing these. Though I already have music for most (if not all) these civs/leaders in my mod, I'll see if there's anything I can use. And if not, I don't you'd be too offended if I replace some of yours with mine, though I'll still provide yours as an alternative - the more the better, after all. :D

I'll be glad to do your requests for Hitler and Bolivar, and I think my next pack will be a few "modern" leaders (as in 1800s+). I think I'll put in Dido for my classical era musicpack somewhere down the line.

Nah, TheLastOne was right, I think it makes a bit more sense here - plus, as he said, modders can hunt for music after they're done with finding LH art.

Also, I have included music for all three eras - it's just that this first pack is aimed towards leaders from the medieval era, such as Saladin, Charlemagne, or Ragnar from the game. Though I'll be providing music for leaders of the modern era very soon.

Great thread! I would really like some Latin American diplomusic for Mexico, Brazil and Argentina. Also, Thai music would be great. I will definitely use some of this Medieval music, especially that it has three eras.

There is also Sobieski and Casimir specific music in one of the Polish Mods.

Not to mention Amra's mod. If you happen to have it (the mod is down now.. :( ) you can probably take the music. (I don't think Amra would mind as she probably took her music from somewhere as well).

Also TheCapo's mod when done will have diplo music, as should CivFusion.

Lo and behold, I have my second music pack ready for download ! These musicpacks are actually pretty easy to compile - it's just the searching and the reassorting that's difficult.

    2. Modern Leaders Diplomusic Pack

    • Ho Chi Minh (preferably NOT for pre-communist Vietnamese leaders, as the music would not make sense)*
    • Franz Josef (Austrian, Germanic leader from late 1700s to early 1900s)*
    • Bolivar (Andean or South American leader, ancient or modern)**
    • Garibaldi (any post-Renaissance Italian)
    • MacDonald (Canadian, American, Pioneer, Wild West)
    • Meiji (Meiji, Hirohito, etc.)
    • Pedro (Brazilian, South American)
    • Teddy (American)
    • Germanic (Hitler, Bismarck, Kaiser Wilhelm, Germanic, Austrian, Swiss)
    • Australia (Australian, i.e. Deakin, Menzies, Curtin, Howard, etc.)

*Credits to Phungus and the Wolfshanze Mod for providing some or all of the tracks
**I have included an extra, alternative track for Bolivar, credits to Phungus and the Wolfshanze Mod

I already have music for a number of the Latin American countries that I stored up either for World of Legends or for CivGold, so I'll give them out to you sooner or later :D . I don't specifically have genuine actual Thai music, but I do have music I think that could work, so I'll put that up in one of my paks in the future.

Also, in the Modern Leaders Musicpack (or whatever you want to call it), I have included music for Brazil and Venezuela, though the Venezuelan one is generic enough you can use it for a number of Andean civilizations/countries.

Didn't Amra use a lot of music from CivGold (and, indirectly on some of them), me? Anyhow, personally I'm a bit reluctant to download whole modpacks just to find diplomacy music, because to be frank I already have a whole boatload of diplomusic stored up over the years. Not that TheCapo and CivFusion or any of the other big mods aren't great or anything, at least when it comes to music, but I'll check them out once I've exhausted myself. However, if the modders of the big mods want to provide me with the music tracks themselves (such as Phungus above), then I am more than happy to accept their help.

I have an idea. How about Rondo alla Turca, for Ataturk? You could use the Turkish March too, but I think we could use that for a modern Mexican leader (it was the theme song for a famous Mexican TV show).

I really understand how hard it is to find this music. I mean, it has to be three similar melodies performed differently if you want to do it like Firaxis LHs. It is of course easier if you are a musician. So far I found a lot of good diplomusic in Esnaz's mod. It is good there is new diplomusic coming now, so thanks.

Can you send that to me somehow? I'll put it in one of my future paks, and if I can get my own track, I'll provide CivFusion's as an alternative.

Sounds good. I'll put that on my to-do list.

Yes, it is pretty hard; it's already hard enough to find different melodies with the same style, let alone the same melody performed differently. So I just try generally to find different melodies but in a similar style or progression or whatever, but if I can find extremely similar melodies than it'd be my lucky day.

Do you have CIV Gold installed? Cause I could send you ALL the music from those mods. (as you don't want to install mods just for the music).

Also, on an unrelated note, have you tried BtS mods like Road to war? IIRC they came with their own music.
