Want to rule the world as a democracy? Or crush it under the heel of your boot?

Civs are all filled, players may still join. Game Social Group here.

This will be a multi-civ diplo game, using the hotseat function.
The map type will be Terra.
Up to 8 civs can be entered. All civ slots are now filled.
    All DLC is available.
The game will start in the Ancient Era.
Civs may be governed in any way their players see fit, so long as each government has a Head Of State (the powers and duration of an HOS are determined by players of that civ).
Instructions will be given in 10 turn rounds.
Instructions for each round MUST be given within 24 hours.
Rounds are continuous (I.E., one ends, the next immediately begins).
First missed round, I will control that civ.
Second missed round, all assets of that civ will be given to other civs, and civ will declare war on all civs without a peace treaty.
As soon as the first civ enters the Renaissance, and every 2 rounds afterwards, a World Council will be held. The World Council will propose and vote on a wide variety of issues, from colonization to nuclear weapons.
Anything not in the above rules, is up to the civs playing.
PM'ing or groups for turn planning is suggested.
Role-playing, alliances, and regional diplomacy are encouraged.
    Good Luck!

    FAQ:

Q: How do I give my civ's insructions?
A: It is requested that a civ creates a social group, and adds me to it, for instructions. If a civ's members feel that a social group is not warranted due to size, they may PM me their instructions. Diplomacy is handled however the civ feels fit.

I am not a shogun, I am a tenno, the emperor of Japan ;)

    -

You may call me Tenno Heika. (translated as, "His Majesty the Emperor"), this is because the emperor is never referred to by a personal name. Indeed even when they die they are given a regnal name upon death (so we have the Showa Emperor and the Taisho Emperor for example).

You might like to establish your own empire SamSniped. We require all slots to be filled before we can start the game I believe.

Haha I don't think it will make much of a difference. If they outwardly root for the Polynesians and trash talk the other civs it would be hilarious though.

I suppose your right. Either way if it appears like polynesia is getting a bit too up itself..... *Image of glorious victory army shouting tennoheika banzai!*

The more the merrier, especially if I get to see an uber-chaotic Polynesia and Japan go to war. Tensions between the great Island Nations for the win.
Also, I appreciate the advertisement, Omega!
I'll start the game with a minimum of six civs, if we really can't get 8. I highly doubt that, though, that would be rather extreme, esp. with the rate of responses.
I'll use the first "updated" post as an FAQ post.
For civ instructions, I think I'm going to request that each civ makes their own group, and adds me to it. PM is also cool, if you feel your civ is too small for that.
That will be posted in the FAQ and the Dev thread, as well.
Of course, diplomacy may be conducted however a civ sees fit.

Well we will see what happens between the pitiful polynesians and the ever-victorious children of the emperor. Any actions will be taken in the geopolitical and diplomatic context of the game itself, if Polynesia gives me no reason for war, then there shall be peace if not co-operation against mutual opponents.

As to the rest, no problem.

Ah, of course. No need to stir the pot if the two nations do not see each other as threats.

I can't make a group. I used all five of my slots already.
