AH good to know,

im near completion,

i did a rework on the units - i removed around 7 classes that i believe was of no use.
i changed many unitais for better functionality,
changed many many unit values,
added some techs between rifle era to tank era.

gona replace some unit models.
and some more stuff.


now,
i was thinking of renaming overlord mod to another mod,
cause i got tired of this name and its no longer overlord 2, its like 3 or something,

any suggestions on a new cool name?

good news anyone whos looking in this thread,

i have optimized overlord2,

it is now crash free, stable and playble from tech 1 to future tech.

i have to tweak a bit the speeds, change something with the improvements,
and i will release overlord 2 version 2.1 hopefully in two days.

i promise those who will try it - one of the stable mods available with tons of enjoyable stuff.

well if you wanna unlimit -just go to this file:
civ4globalinfo.xml under xml folder,
look for "wonder"
youll find a tag that you can chaneg city limit to what ever you wish :)



well as for what ive added:

ive changed the techs around the marv v unit
- made some distance between rifle era to tank era,
tweaked alot of units
remove unneeded units and some more.
and mostly i removed a really bad crash that was hidden from me.

You're fine. I'll go edit the xml file soon enough. I just get tired of people thinking that balances things. Sigh. All it does it force you to have over 9000! cities. :)

Bah. I'll continue to play this and give you my thoughts soon enough.
 
Hey again... once again lured back into the game - I downloaded OL2 after getting BTS etc up to date, and everything went fine until I tried to discover my first religion. Every time I try to build the helenism statue, I CTD with a message "Civilization IV: Beyond the Sword" has stopped working... which is unfortunated, cause I liked the mod when I first tried it a loooong time ago.
 
I was not playing choose religons, the only settings I modified were the stack attack - I turned these on, otherwise, I think it was just set up how I unloaded your pack. I am using vista... I uploaded my last save game.

ACK - wrong file attached - this is not an OL2 mod

Tried the new version , crashes after 5 to 10 turns same as previous version
1.9 was the last version to work with vista , could it be the new map graphics ?

im not sure why you guys have ctds,

earthwulf, dont turn on stack attack - its bugged...theres a reason for its being turned off.

ACK - wrong file attached - this is not an OL2 mod - what does this mean?

and vista users,

im not sure what causes a ctd with vista , i ran a lot of test games with xp, had no ctd.

try to play with the regular maps - like archipelago, continents - and see what happens -

try to attach a savegame, and ill see if i can reproduce the ctd.

hope i can help, i really want to to make the mod working for you guys.
 
I've not run into any bug with Hellenism at all. :)

I've been a little busy but I'm not now, so I'll play this mod more. :)
 
Thanks keldath - turning off the stack-attack seems to have done the trick. The "Ack" awas just there cause I attached a file that was for a different mod, then erased it once I realized what I'd done.
