I just started a new game up and got my first lux resource (gold) and traded it away to Alexander to fund my first settler, well he took the deal for 276 and 1GPT.

Acouple of turns later i was attacked by a Barbarian and the gold mine was pillaged and that got me thinking.

1. Does this stop Alexander from getting the gold/happiness till i fix the mine?
2. Does this hurt my friendship with Alexander from a "broken deal"?
3. A mix of the two where say, friendship hurt but still gets the gold or doesn't get the gold but likes me more/less.

Was just something kind of cool that happened in my game and was wondering what you all thought or if you can think of a way to test the out come some how to see how the pillage effects the other end of a deal.

It's a good question, I know that when you're allied with a city state and their plantation or mine gets pillaged you lose the luxury resource until they get it fixed.

Great questions. #1 would be an easy thing to check with a multi-player game. #2 and #3 we might know more about after the next patch, which is supposed to give more diplomatic transparency.

The deal is remade once the lux is repaired.

Got changed on the 1st or 2nd mini patch - you use to be able to sell the Lux, pillage then sell again, but iirrc there was a diplo penalty.

So as it is now there's a diplo. penalty if it gets pillaged?
