This map isn't as easy as some other maps i've seen of late. Leader is Toku, setting Pangaea. I picked the opponents, some warmongers: Shaka,Monty and Genghis. 2 of the most successful ais at least in my games: Zara and Justin. And Sury who's sort of in between. Start: Not too bad with a grass cow, a corn and a river. I played it a bit and i think it's winnable if you don't get declared on early. Enjoy.
ouch...that doesn't hear like easy map in any way... if you accidentally happen to have all those warmongers nearby and zara+justy on opposite ends of map, pretty much game over I would say. Justy and Zara know what they do with expansion!
I suspect that with this lineup, the map might even be tricky on levels below Diety. Them be some nasty AIs.
Yes, and from more than on youtuber possibly. Magic edit for nuke symbols! Drama! No worries, Dirk is from that legendary super deity list of players like USun/Duckweed/ABCF/Rusten/etc etc etc. They don't want their DEITY games being TOO EASY .
No you have to be a good player to win deity maps at all. But this one is a bit more tricky since Toku is a slow starter. True if you're fast enough to get the necessary trading chips. Maybe, then again i knew about the neighbors myself as i picked them so i thought it fair to give the info to to others playing the map as well.
I don't think i have the tools to make video's. Don't you need a webcam at least? I don't think the contrast in playing styles between AZ and myself is that big. I will think Phant rush too nowadays if i have ivory but not much room to expand. From what i've seen i think the prime difference is that AZ is willing to sacrifice early expansion in favor of fast teching and a very early rush where i like to build up a bit more before going for the rush.
no... just download and install some freeware programs... TMIT has very good video about it. I use camstudio with ffdshow codec (he uses divx) and that's basically all, the other thing being you will have to run in windowed mode. Or you can use AZ's method of recording with fraps (more demanding on HDD space since it records uncompressed) then compress the video and upload. But you can play fullscreen
I'm going on spring break soon but I really want to try this map. I've been playing good starts on Deity and wanted to test the waters with this one. The cap could be commerce city with 6 riverside grass and a floodplain but could also be awesome hammer city with all the grass hills and being underneath the plains hill.
^I may look into that video stuff in the future. I should be able to set it up, also to get a cheap mike, maybe i have one here somewhere around. Somehow it looks like a lot of work to get the commentary right. Kudo's for AZ and TMIT who both do a good job in this respect in their video's . I have played until 1AD already (and i'm still alive ) so i think report of this game will be the old fashioned way.
