Hi.
That's my first unit for Civ3. It's a very simple unit, using paperdoll and the empire swordman animations by CamJH.
Any sugestion will be welcome for future versions.

Welcome to Civfanatics gukan... Very Good First Unit :goodjob:
suggestion... It is not possible for Feet to stay flat on the ground as a unit falls and hits the ground. In Death animations, Roll the feet with the body and have them lift above the ground as the Unit Falls to prevent the "Broken Ankle" effect.

Welcome to CFC!:)

Great for a first unit. And nice to have someone new in the forums.:goodjob:

Thanks everybody
I hope i can keep doing some other units in the future

A sugestion from Vuldocan is like an order from God :)
Do you mean something like this?

Nice Girl (is She a Girl?), Thanks! :)
At least is someone dressing a yellow/golden bikini ;)

Thanks gukan! And only your second post! I'm impressed. Since you've asked for feedback, I'd like to see the bikini be Civ-colored, too. Feel free to lose some of that fabric and if it's not too much trouble you could um, enhance her female qualities; she's an Orovar princess, after all. Maybe she could wear a very small loin cloth? Keep in mind, this is a Heroic Queen. The main thing about heroes is, they tend to be 1) a little taller, and 2) very, very well built. The first of the Orovar units! Hurrah!

No problem, I left it yellow to give it a gold feeling of the pics posted on the steampunk thread.

Do you mean a smaller bikini? sorry, english is not my first language (and not my second language, maybe, my internet language?)

I will try that, but its all about morphing the paperdoll.

Like the one on the first pic?

Thanks.

....Like the one on the first pic?

Yes. Look also at the one on Princess Leia. I also like more breast, less bikini top, to be honest.

Yes we can. Yes we can.

Your "internet" english is good. What is your first (or second) language?

Are you using the male or female version of the paperdoll? I've not created a unit with the female paperdoll, but I thought it was a little more curvy than this unit.

gukan... That is a good start but the feet rotate too late. The Feet should move as the Body Falls with the same timing, not later. The Feet would also tend to Bounce if the Body Bounces but the Feet can bounce with different timing than the body. Don't allow the heels to go below the ground as the feet rotate... ...You can elevate the Feet very slightly then lower them to the ground for the bounce where wanted. The feet would come off the ground just before the unit hits the Ground then they would hit the ground just after the Body hits. The feet can each come off the ground at slightly different times before the Unit Hits the ground.

Rather than trying to move the feet one frame at a time, let Poser do it. First set Keyframes for all frames where he is falling. Copy and Paste all Frames to another Area after your animation so you can work on them without disturbing your Original frames.

Adjust the First frame when he starts to fall where the feet start rotating. Adjust intermittent frames where she is falling and Position the Feet as they would be naturally in the fall. Remove Keyframes between the Frames you adjusted for the Feet and the previous frames. Poser will fill in the frames between adjusted frames. You can use those Frames as they are or just use the Feet/Leg settings on your Original Frames.

It can be helpful to use the Bottom Camera to see if and how much of the unit parts are on the Ground. Use other Cameras to zoom in and view your work so you can adjust any details as you want them.

Oh, i have two first language, catalan and spanish, then this internet english, and a little french (but very little).

I didn't know a female paperdoll exist... Time to redo some work...

Vuldacon: I know the feets are falling to late as soon as i post the pic... but i think that's the way to go. I will work on it when the 'new' female paperdoll fit correctly on every animation.

Balthasar, you scoundrel...:mischief:
I love the attackb, with the gun. Really cool to have both a sword and a firearm. Totally Steampunk.
