Demand Tribute

During the course of my games, I have been able to demand gold from civs and they have paid. The other day I actually was able to get a civ to give me 15 gpt in tribute. Kind of threw my invasion plans off since I did not want to lose the added income. Had to invade elsewhere.

edit: I had just posted this when the following happened: Germany came up and wanted Theology as tribute. I said: "oh no my boy, but you better give me 11 gold!" (he`s broke otherwise)and he paid up!!!

I was getting ready to attack and just wanted to move his attitude up to furious. (always makes me fell a little better to make war when they are furious than annoyed.)

I guess you were too furious for him, hehehe

Gee, never works when I try it. The puny civs rarely have much to give to make it worth it. I guess I haven't tried it enough. I find the whole thing amusing though. I often get requests in the Moder age of, say, 40 Gold & a Territory map. Oooh. Feels like Dr. Evil asking for a million dollars.

It never work for me before either. He did have some gold lying around as I got 50 gold the next turn.
