Democracy Game with Apolyton, Germans and Polish?

Greetings from the German "Civilization Webring-Forum"

We want to start a democracygame based on the scenario "2194 Days Of War".
We ask members from Apolyton too, a few polish players, who
have their own Civ2 Clans, also want to play...

This would be the best constellation we think:

-United Staates = Poly Team-1
-British Empire = Fanatics
-German Empire = German Team-1
-Russian = Polish (will be great, because they are an independent community)
-Japanese = German Team-2
-China = Poly or Fanatic Team-2 (which community has more interested members?)

We will create an own forum for the game, we want to use historical avatars and
nicknames. What do you think about this idea? Are you interested or not at all?
Can you think of any improvements in the concept?

Are you going to use the Giga Map version?

I dont know about an entire team playing China. Most of the games I have seen in Giga Map the Chinese player gives up and is taken over by the American player.

You may want to consider sombining those two.

I'd be on one of the polly teams though, rather than the cfc ones

Hmm, that's an interesting point Henrik. It seems most of the remnants of the PBEM community that stayed at civfanatics is also at Poly. It's time to see where our loyalties lie.

I think CivFan should have Britian

and Apoly have US/China combined.

I really dont see anyone being in a big hurry to play China alone, or if they are in a big hurry it wont last.

Maybe it should be a High-res vs. Nemoesque division; that seems to be the only difference between the forums.

Support for high-resolution (shrunk down photograph) units vs. support for nemo-esque (isometric, 'cartoonish' units) was a very divisive debate between CFC's creation forums and the Scenario League (at Apolyton). In other words he joked about how so many players are in games on both forums, and my response was that maybe we could divide CFC and Apolyton based on this past debate.

Well ... err, I am not so familiar with the situation of and the ties between cfc and apolyton but if you can think of any way to determine whether one is cfc or apolyton, i think any will do

It's just that the people from the webring forum, who are behind the idea, would really appreciate it if such a demogame could be established

I would say that should be Darius, he is extremely responsible, very prompt, everyone respects him , and he is just one heck of a guy............
