I picked Joe Liebermann, since of the Dems in the running, he offends me the least. If I had immense political powers, I'd get Zell Miller of Georgia to run for the Dem nomination, or I'd go for the gusto and summon Bob Bullock (former Lt Gov of Texas) back from the dead and run him under the Dem label.

Either way, it would expose Bush for what he is - something considerably more liberal than any conservative or Republican could claim to be.

Sharpton. I'm game for a laugh.

Even though I'm resigned to Dean winning the nomination (he's winning the CFC primary too, I see), I still voted for Clark.

Bush? Liberal?

I want Zell Miller to go on a switch parties. He's just helping the Republicans more by staying a Democrat because he can block off primaries. ( I say this as a Georgian :D)

I'd personally like to see Edwards get it. The Dems need wins in the South, and Edwards or Clark seem like someone who can deliver.

Edwards is trailing by 14% in his home state of North Carolina. And that's for his Senate seat, which he has wisely chosen not to run for. His numbers against Bush are even worse.

Being from the south and being able to win the south are two different things.

Dean, being the candidate for angry people who can do nothing but scream "down with Bush!" will win the primary. His chances of beating Bush are almost nonexistant the way things look now.

 Nevermind then. Who do you see as being solid in the South?

Clark and Lieberman, especially Lieberman. However, Lieberman would probably be hurt by severe (2000-like) defections of the far-left to Ralph Nader.

Clark is the only candidate with any real chance of getting the south's attention. Edwards could, but he's heading downhill fast.

I used to not like Clark, but now I think he's the best chance we got, and I realized I like his views on many topics including things like the environment, etc.

I know which two I don't like, and that's Dean and Lieberman.

I really liked Kucinich in the most recent debate I saw. He just unloaded on the moderators. It made Kerry unload also, made the whole thing more interesting.

Dean.

Re, winning the South: Remember that the Democrat has to win the typical Democrat states and the usual Democratic swing states (as in swing states that often go Democrat) and then just one of Bush's states and he'll win.

Bush's states include places like Arizona, Florida, Nevada, etc. So the hardcore South can be ignored.

Maybe someone can find the map I'm referring to, it makes it all clear.

Not crazy about Dean.

I'll be voting for Clark, even though Edwards and Gephardt are cool too.

Today was not a good day for the frontrunner. Catch Saddam was huge for the GBA, and a slap at Dean's get out now campaign. He will win the nomination anyway unless things change radically, but this is something he would have loved to hang out next fall, that wont be there for him.

Perhaps it will let Clark catch up a bit? We shall see.

You laugh, but that's what he is. Would a true dyed-in-the-wool conservative support massive entitlement spending increases and restrictions on trade? Not likely.

I apologize in advance if this constitutes an attempt at thread-jacking (which it isn't intended to be).

I want Dean to win the primary because I want Bush to be reelected.

Clark and Dean make the best ticket.

As long as OBL is still out there, any Dem can still make Bush look like the incompetent he is.
