((I wanted to try my hand at this. Figured we need at least some sort of competition the first time around. I sort of stole part of Dave’s format :nya: ))

This faction is based around an autocratic ruler who makes nearly all decisions himself.

Operation:

- This faction will decide upon a leader (despot), prior to the faction vote, in some internal fashion.
- This leader may or may not appoint advisors and governors.
- The leader may pass on his powers to a member of his choosing at any time.
- The leader will rule absolutely; his/her word is final in all matters including legal, military, and foreign and domestic policy.
- Even though this leader rules absolutely, the metagame rules still apply (such as reporting events in-game, playing the correct amount of turns, etc.)

Organization:

Within the despotism faction, members may nominate themselves or others to be the leader, and through the use of internal polls, deals, or some other means, one leader must be chosen from all candidates. This must be done before this faction officially puts in it’s bid to run the national government.

Like the Tribal Council post, enrollment is open and everything is still open to change from anybody, as I’m sure I forgot about stuff.

((Looking at this, it sure looks like Tribal Council would win out, but I can see advantages to this, so don’t expect the Despotism faction to just bend over!))

I would like to join the faction.

How applications are processed for what? For prospective members? For electing the despot?

For new members who are already part of an existing faction. Are they automatically accepted? Do they need some kind of loyalty test?
(As it stands now all new members to the demo game must be accepted to the faction of their choice).

I am looking into creating a faction with a stronger roleplay emphasis, but this looks like a good start.

Scratch that, I am reposting. Delete this thread or let it die, please.
