UPDATE 03/20/2023 I'm still working on a solution, and I got it now, still need test a lot and tweak some things probably for june/july will be posted. 1 script that fix all language issues on 1 click, independant of Vox Populi updates (will work for any mod not just VP). Latest version: v3 Alpha for Vox Populi V12.1.3
Fix all wrong data from ALL mods included in Vox Populi for non-english installs.
New: Optionally, translated texts (only for spanish installations)

When we play Vox populi on non-english installations a lot from new data is not showing correctly because language issues, this is known already, there are plenty posts on this forums regarding this problem, althought is easy to fix. But is a bit painfull to do this everytime a VP update is coming.

What changes This Mod?
- It will show all new data from VP correctly.
- Doesn't change anything on how works VP, basically the game will be the same, but with new texts.

Screens:
(Note that my game is spanish, so you will see core game texts in that language)

Following screens show the game with all Vox Populi mods, and the same screen with this fix. Note that mostly data is wrong: beliefs, policies, Leader UA etc.



Requeriments

• Non-english install of the game
• (1) Community Patch
• (2) Community Balance Patch

  • Civ IV Diplomatic Features
  • More Luxuries
  • CBO Compatibility Files (only tested with EUI version -6a- but should work with non EUI too)
  • Promotion Icons for VP
  • UI - Promotion Tree for VP
• Also tested with Jarcast's The Amazons (v 2)
• Tested with Full Experience Vox Populi install, should work with any other combination of VP mods but I didn't fully tested yet.

New: Translations

Starting V3, Spanish have two packages, one with english texts, and a second with translations (not 100% yet). You can download any of these or both.

Yes you can install both differents packages for spanish but you CAN'T use both at same time, but installing both you will able to switch quickly between English and Spanish if you need it.

What is already translated on this version?

• Every Civ unique content:
  • Traits
  • Unique Buildings
  • Unique Units and their special promotions
  • Unique Leader Dialogues and any special text from leaders
• Buildings and Wonders from Ancient Era (some more from other eras)
• Policies: Tradition, Progress, Fealty and Authority and its unique buildings (like tradition ones) are 100% translated.
• Every Pantheon Belief
• A lot of diplomacy Texts : Opinion Modifiers, User Interfaces, etc
• City State Quests (not 100% yet)
• Almost all Game Options when you set up a new game
• Some civilopedia entries

Sorry for the delay, I had a lot of work, I've already translated to spanish almost all important things (civs texts/ buildings/ policies) and some of the UI. And made a couple ready for translate packages for Italian, French, and german (texts in english but ready for use in game). Also I simplified this mod, before I was using same dir paths than the official VP, now all strings will be placed as sql statements on individual files (for example, all buildings texts in one file, civilizations uniques in one file, etc).
I will update the repository this weekend I think.

Sí perdón el cuelgue! queríar subir la actualización más completa y son ... bueno millones d elíneas que traducir. Mañana en la noche la subo, actualizo aquí cuando lo haga. Ya agregué todos los mods de VP. Y la mayoría de traducciones del CBP (falta mucho del resto de mods aún igual)

Es por la actualización de Vox Populi, este fin de semana miro que cambio y actualizo. Mientras tanto es mejor seguir con la versión anterior de Vox Populi ya que no hubieron grandes cambios. De todos modos el finde lo miro y actualizo. Salu2

EDIT: Puedo pasarte una version "temporal" del ultimo Vox populi, digamos, actualizado y todos los textos en inglés, hasta q adapte los cambios a mi mod. Porq estoy a full de laburo y hasta el finde no lo voy a poder mirar. Si te interesa contestame y esta noche te hago en un toque la carpeta en googledrive.

Lo siento pero voy a abandonar este mod. No me estan dando los tiempos, soy freelancer y estudiante y la verdad que ultimamente no he tenido tiempo ni de jugar ni de probar la actualizacion de VP. Esta noche voy a subir la ultima version de VP con textos en ingles arreglados para usar con instalaciones en otros idiomas, sin traducciones. Voy a tratar de hacer lo mismo para cada actualizacion > subir solo los archivos de idioma arreglados para usar en instalaciones internacionales solo con textos en ingles.

Lo siento pero lleva mucho tiempo seguir el rastro de los cambios de VP y reacomodar las traducciones en cada actualizacion y la verdad que solo en vacaciones estoy teniendo ese tiempo.

Gracias! La verdad es que podria continuar pero es muy dificil seguir el rastro de las actualizaciones, tuve que rehacer 2 veces el mod, y ya desde abril que no me funciona ninguna de las nuevas versiones. Tal vez si alguien tiene una version vieja del mod lo termino para esa version. Pero mientras el MOD Vox Populi no funcione, no hay nada que pueda hacer.

Thanks all, I decided to abandone this mod, is very hard to track VP changes, Ive already made 2 versions of this mod, and probably had to make another one for next version because VP github is a MESS, but since Vox Populi is not working anymore in my machine since February update, I don't see the point to continue my work.

Vox Populi WAS a great mod, but it's time to move on.
