hi, I've recently released my mod, the Battle of Hastings for Warlords 2.13. I developed this on a mac, and after months of slaving over the release of a playable version I've come to find that the mod won't load on Windows PCs. I opened this development thread to provide a higher traffic area to help me with this issue, and secondarily provide some discussion on balancing and adding to the mod.

Primary Issue: Fixing the loading Problem on Windows

I have been assisted on fixing this by Ajidica and AlanH. There were XML errors in the 0.1 version, but thanks to Alan, these have been resolved in the 0.1a version. Here is the thread concerning those issues.
Although the XML has been fixed, the mod won't load as accounted by AlanH; with a crash while loading the gamefont files, and Ajidica; with an error in the ntdll.dll file. I've thought up some possible reasons for this, but they are likely waaay of as I can see the errors.

I've quoted my post in the thread linked above:

Do you think this could have anything to do with the differences in the patched xml versions? Nwabudike Morgan's mod (creator of the WW2 mod- with a mac) was made in 2.13, [FYI, I made this originally for 2.08, but there was no errors for me when I moved up to 2.13.] and the only problems he had was with loading the map. I could merge the 2.13 files with my files using FileMerge, but I don't want to go through unnecessary pain with this.

Does the Windows version draw the Gamefonts from different places? I don't have any custom Gamefonts in any of my folders, but N.M.'s mod uses the on included in the Omens folder.

One final thing I noticed is the N.M. deleted the art references to the units that were no longer in the mod; is this commonplace in Windows modding?

Hopefully I can get some more ideas on how to resolve these issues and bring this mod to the PC users.

Secondary Issues: Taken from my to-do list
Fixing the Windows issue is at the top of my list, and modding will not resume until this is finished.
-The art is not quite finished, but I'm close.
-The Gamefont file needs changing, but I've been unsuccessful thus far. (Help would be great!)
-I want to start adding in Python events/code.
-I was thinking of adding a smaller scenario, like a duel between just England and Normandy. What do you guys think?
-I need new ideas to fill the later techs, right now many only are there to provide civics.
-I need a new name for the Catholic shrine. Suggestions, please!

Of course more ideas are encouraged, so shout 'em out!

Can anyone offer any help? The major issue facing this mod is that the Windows players get a crash while 'initfonts' is up on the loading screen. Does anyone at least have some info on a crash for loading the fonts (or could it be tied to some other art/file?)
