I submit two proposals for your consideration.

We are clearly loosing this game…big time, so I have posted the latest save in the strategy forum to beg for help. If anyone is able to give us a winning strategy I think the least we can do is change our leader name to the user name of whatever hero rescues us. Please post your comments on that suggestion.

If no such help is forthcoming I suggest we go for a world builder victory, in other words I want to cheat. I’ve always wanted to give myself a modern armor in the ancient era and see what happens but that may be too easy. It may be more interesting to have a single jet fighter, a unit that can only support our efforts rather than directly engage enemy units. Perhaps we have become the stooges to alien conquerors or something but it’s probably more fun than grinding along on an epic length game in last place the whole time. What do you say?
 
First off I want to thank the talented denizens of the strategy forum for the fine help we’ve received. Pigswill did a fantastic job. His 730 AD save has is in a much improved position but it also overrides much of the last two years of turn logs, so I am reluctant to pick up from there. Besides there is no guarantee that I can make even that save work out successfully. Instead I’d rather just cheat. I’ve always wanted to play an ancient civ with the benefit of an advanced unit and this seems like the time.

Ghpstage posted a save played from 625 AD. We’re still in last place but he really accomplished quite a bit in just a few turns, just enough to attract the attention of a mysterious alien species. The ‘visitors’ coincidentally have the same goal as us to build a civilization to pass the test of time, but are they partners …or conquerors?

That’s my idea anyway. Participation is so low I’m reluctant to put this up for a poll but please feel free to post your preferences.
