Difficulty loading a saved Direct IP game

My friend and I are trying to resume a game we started a week or so ago, but I can't seem to load it properly. He is able to start up with no problem, but every time I enter the game it comes up with a screen that says "We are waiting for ________ to reconnect to the game. If you would like to stop waiting, please vote on how to proceed." We have tried several different saves on several different occasions with and without Pit Boss on, but keep ending up with the same result. Has anyone else had this problem/have ideas on how to fix it?

Sounds to me like connection issue, which occurred in those week or two since you played.

Try Hamachi for connecting

Yeah we use Hamachi. Both rebooted it today and still no luck. Thanks, though
