Diplo options completely gone

Hi, so I was trying out the BAT mod, when I noticed that my diplo screen had disappeared, even though I had met another civ. I tried playing vanilla again, but it seems that it has permanently removed the diplo options. I tried uninstalling everything and reinstalling, twice, but it still won't work. Anyone else have experience with this type of problem? Thanks in advance
