It is pure luck and pleasure to make contact with your team so early. We hope we could build warm relations and great cooperation with such gentlemanly players as I know of you, guys.

As a start of our cooperation we would like to offer you a basic Non-Aggression Pact "We will not declare war at each-other till the beginning of turn 100" with the option to lengthen it at any time. We are up to exchanging map info and any other kind of information. We would also like to assure you that we will not attempt any provocative settling in your direction and we are open for land dividing agreement.

I'm Proviisori, the foreign minister of WPC team and in charge of communicating with the nations, barbarians and animals of this beautiful and presumably round world. Also the one that gets the royal spanking for possible diplomatic slips and insults.

We accept your initial non-aggression prior to turn 100 on a condition that you remain 1 square away from our borders with your units, and we shall do the same when our scouting units travel near your borders. You can see the edge of the border in the dark. We shall stay 1 square away from purple borders. If you don't mind, we would like to have an option to hunt any wildlife encountered near your borders. Our scouts tend to grow hungry from all the walking, dancing and singing merrily as they go.

We are looking forward to prosperous relationship between our fine nations.

It seems we are just starting to discover the wonder things this word holds just as other teams and hopefully one-big-foot-legged Patagonians.

Of course we will honor your expressed desire and will not come near your borders, so we consider the NAP already in effect.

In hope of further improving our relations and help each- other, would you guys be interested in agreeing to notify each other once we meet other teams? Seems like it'd be a good idea to pool knowledge on our surroundings.

As we speak of surroundings, could you please advice us what terrain lies east and west of you, so we can decide where is safer to go around you using defensive terrains to continue our scouting? Also info on barbarian units and wild animals in sight will be of great help to us.

Hello,

I would rather not meet the one-legged-Patagonians. Their hobbies are suspicious to say the least. Personally I'm not interested in that kind of activities.

Thank you for understanding our desire for privacy.
Indeed, NAP is in effect and we are also staying clear from your borders as travelling around your lands.

I might be good to share that information when finding other nations near us. You are the first and only one we have made contact with up to this point. I will discuss this matter with the elders of our nation and try to reach some kind of agreement.

To east we have a small lake and temperate woods, hills and some grassland.
To west from our borders lies a relatively large fresh water lake and mostly plains and tundra, mixed with forests. Path near the big lake is unfortunately blocked by our border.
I guess our tribe was placed quite north. It must be colder here than in your huts, but we'll manage with fur coats, fireplaces and... beer.

At this moment, we don't see any wildlife near our settlements or scouts. Also smelly barbarians also have not come out from their damp caves.

Don't worry about the delay.
The game is progressing at quite a relaxed pace, so not much happened during this time.

Yes, it is a pleasure to see that our civs can co-exist peacefully. We believe that the NAP will help both of our civs to get stronger and more stable compared to the rest of the (un)civilized world.

Thank you for the info about team RB.

We have also some news about other civs.
Recently we have spotted Quechua of team civ.de.
Our estimate is that their lands are somewhere west from us, based on the location where we met them.

Also we have spotted barbarians lurking near our lands.
I hope you keep your citizens safe as the wildlife is no longer the only threat.

I have Skype.
My Skype name is "Tatu_von_Peterhausen" ... yes, it is weird name. Maybe I was a little drunk when making the account.
I am not even German, even though the name has "von" in it. Anyway, looking forward to discuss with you on Skype.

it's a small world. Lots of civs packed quite near each other.
This is going to be interesting. Keep your eye out for the UUs. They really can be powerful in the early game.
There is some rumours circulating among our people that your specialty units are probably the most dangerous.
They may seem nice and peaceful, but looks can be deceiving. Citizens are gossiping on ultimate weapons hiding under the loincloths of your UUs. Can you offer some words of comfort to battle these rumours? Peasants are getting out of hand and hiding their daughters.

Indeed team RB made a contact with us and sent a diplo message.
Thank you for helping them out.

We have scouted the lands of the German team (Inca), and as predicted, they are directly west from us.

Greetings, team WPC!

We are glad to have you as friends and allies and we would be glad to continue to be in the future. We want to tell you we are going to accept NAP with you even if you tell us that the things we are about to forewarn you of in this message are none of our business or that you dont want to discuss them.

There is no easy or politically right way for this to be said, so we are going to tell it straight and hope you see the correctness of our message and our true intentions. We have genuine anxiety about the well-being of your team. We earnestly desire a long term strategic partner which we see in you, instead of trying to impose on you the course of external politics.

Our analyzers have the firm belief that RB are trying to get some kind of technological advantage - most probably macemen and catapults or even knights in about 35-40 turns from now and then go on rampage against their weaker/unprepared neighbor(s). With the current perspectives/prognosis that most probably would be you and the Germans. If we've got the right impression it seems that your two teams plan on continuing your conflict which so far has brought nothing good to both teams involved. This just plays right into RB's plans of having some soft targets to quickly seize.

RB already has an amazing advantage in GNP, food and land at the moment. We can't even think of what they will become if they have an easy time conquering you or/and the Germans. We do have observations on RB's way of dealing with games as we have several members who have been active on their site for a long time and are familiar with their general way of thinking and acting. Lately we have learned that Sullla is the person in charge of Team RB and this explains why RB was not lured to attack any of you in the ancient era with their dreaded war chariots.

For now you are both safe as RB will settle all the land available to them. Because of your war you understandably settled towards Germans only and there are vast spaces between you and RB. Same goes for Uciv. Do you guys have any formal border agreement with those two teams? Both RB with their strong FIN/EXP economy and Uciv with their strong combination of ratthouse UB and ORG trait can afford to quickly settle that land away from you and be very strong in the mid-long term.

Meanwhile you will fade and wane while clung in war with the Germans, who proved to be tactically decent players that wont fall easy to someone with nearly the same level of technology and production capacities. When you are deprived of your lands and your neighbor RB has a marked advantage in military technology and gets triple or quadruple your production via MoM powered GA/GAs it will be too late for you to prepare. You will not be able to resist their attack if you dont start thinking of this way before the 12th hour.

We would be happy to have a great strategic partner in your team and we want to be sure you will be strong and prosperous so we can rely on you.

Please, friends, consider at least thinking and discussing about our fears/thoughts and if possible don't let us down on our hopes we vest in you.

btw - no sign of any UniversCiv troops. They may be hugging the west side of the mountian chain separating our civs, and with the jungle, we would not see them. I will try and get a better view next turn.
