Is there any other way to access the diplomacy screen than clicking the diplomacy overview or clicking on their city? Why can't I just click on the scoreboard at the right of the screen?

There's a scoreboard at the right of the screen? I thought that was the Diplo Overview.

Yes there is a scoreboard for single player, like multiplayer has...if you enable it in the options. And I wish we could just click on the leaders name beside their score to contact them.

I think I saw a mod that gives a scoreboard on the side of the screen in SP that works sorta like Civ4's. (I think).

I never really thought much of it. When I played CivIV, there was a scoreboard on the side that I usually minimized because I played large games which cluttered up the screen. However, it was useful because when I went into diplo with other civilizations, I could see my relationship with the other civilizations right off the bat.

Not the case in CivV. While I'm able to minimize/open up the diplo overview, I have to scroll down the unorganized list of civilizations to find the one I want and then I'm unable to see how close I am to other civilizations when I'm in diplo talks. Not a problem for smaller games, problem for 18+ Civilization games I usually enjoy playing.

Agreed, thats exactly my complaint...its tedious when trying to contact lots of civs.
For a game that supposedly has a streamlined UI thats kinda silly.

Duh - Press F4. The list (with direct access to any through another click!) deploys a lot faster than by simply clicking on a single button and within another menu slot for Diplo Overview.

Once again you miss the entire point of the post, the "diplomacy overview" list that f4 brings up is mainly what we are complaining about.
