I downloaded the static leaders mod from somewhere here, and it drastically decreased the waiting time every time a leader in SP contacted me, which used to take perhaps even 5-8 seconds of some strange reason. Then I went into multiplayer and the statics where gone, some living leaders where back but now without the waiting time before the diplo screen appeared. Now I tried to play SP again, but every time the diplo screen is supposed to appear the game crashes.
And btw, the opening screen when you start a new game is not functional either. I have to press esc to get by it.
I got an 8600 gs and Intel T 5250, 2 gb ram and vista.
