discussion: only run for 1 position?

Josh: We should DISCUSS governor/mayor relation. Not PROCLAIM them. If its like this now it need not be like this forever. Giving mayors some more power will maybe get more citizens to fill those positions and take resposibility for something in the game. The governors wont loose any power, as they will still be the only ones in the senate and have a "final word" on the queues. How democratic is it to have someone decide on the queues himself without even arguing over them? The mayors could also be elected (hey, if nobody lives there, the ppl dont care so its ok if the only citizen there decides!). We could implement "citizen overrides" for queues anyway. And as you see from my proposals, any citizen mooving to the city could call out for an open election.
My proposals were PROPOSALS up for discussion. You should not treat them as proclamation nor PROCLAIM things yourself. Discussion is the base for the democracy game, proclamations turn it do a despotism or republican game...

donsig: the rules need no fixing, they need fine-tuning ;-P
a good example is the run-1 rule.
another is the law-quorum of 35 we have right now :-(

Huh?
I thought the quorum and 2/3 vote were 2 separate things, too...

So, you mean in the turn chats, 4 out of 6 is the quorum, but only 2 are needed to pass a vote?

He-he, sounds like you're married, Dis..

There is absolutely no quorum in the turn chat. However many leaders are there, that is what you are working with. Spot Council Votes (Council Votes in the turn chat) are exempt from quorums.

2/3 is the ratio of citizen approval required to pass a law.

so it is active already?
did the officials notice it?
i really oversaw it... propably many others also did cause its hidden under a junk of new-game polls :-)

And now it's been reviewed by all 3 of the 3 justices ;)

Don't know how I managed to miss it, either...

Yeah, strange things happen in phoenatica... propably they all lie in their offices drunk due to pre-party...
