It just recently got a price drop on Steam to $9.99.

Is it worth buying yet? I heard it has many game imbalances and broken features that make me still cautious to purchase this addition; I'm loving HTTT.

Its worth buying, and its also on GamersGate for the same price. I don't know if the patch is out for it yet or not but they are indeed working on patching it and it is a great addition :D I also didn't run into any bugs afaik.

Sorry, what I meant by broken features was that the new China system is imbalanced (from what I've read) and both horde colonization and cascading alliances were problems.

The patches released so far have greatly improved it but I see not reason to skip out on it as it's the best EU3 yet.

Heir to the Throne and Divine Wind (DW requires HTTT) add a LOT to the game and I highly recommend getting them, I suggest looking at them no Paradox's website (too much to remember/write here).

Such an epic game. And to more directly answer the question on whether it's worth it, there's currently a beta in play. I imagine it's only a matter of time now before it gets implemented, if you want to wait just a little longer.

I just got this game and I am very confused... I am playing as castile and can't get a casus beli on anyone... except granada, and it gives me 2 options, holy war and reconquest. There are some differences, like it says 50% for X or 25% for y, what do those mean? do I get 25% the infamy if it says 25% infamy or do I get 25% more infamy?

You get 25% the infamy. And be patient, you will get plenty of casus bellis over time.

I recently bought EU3 complete and have been getting familiar with the game.. I have just advanced from n00b to novice. Would Divine Wind be worth picking up at this point in time? What are the changes?
If you are enjoing the game, you should get the expansions. The game is very polished with them.

It also may be worth mentioning that the boxed set of EU3 with all expansions is coming out on Tuesday. It's listed on Gamersgate for $30 ($5 less than complete + HTTT + DW), and I haven't seen U.S. prices for the boxed set yet. I'm planning to buy it, although Victoria Complete was $2.50 so I picked that up and might delay my EU3 purchase until after playing Vicky a time or two.

Addendum: Usually it will give you 25% infamy only for certain diplomatic actions or territories. For example, you may get 50% or 100% infamy for getting 2 or 3 of the opponent's territory, but annexing them outright, or taking territories other than those will net you full infamy, and going over the limit is never fun, so yeah, be aware of that stuff.

Which is why the Holy War casus belli is so awesome!

Agreed. I've decided I'm going to pick the expansion up as soon as I'm done with my current game (in 1505 at the moment as Castille turned Spain).

Hi Guys,

Picked this up with all the expansions yesterday......and erm.....well I suck at it badly.

Does anyone have a link to a beginners nooby guide - maybe someones game that explains why they are doing what they are doing etc. I tried the Wiki already, but alot of it does not make sense to me.

Dont know if you can download the manual anywhere? Or if it is located somewhere when you download from steam?

Thats great - thanks!!
