I am going to try RoM again, but wonder if I have downloaded everything I need and if there is something missing.
I have not installed it yet.

I downloaded:

-Rise of Mankind 2.8 Full version
-Rise of Mankind 2.81 Patch
-Rise of Mankind: A New Dawn
-Rise of Mankind Expansion 3.02
-Rise of Mankind Expansion 3.05

1. Am I missing out something?
2. Is it enough to install the RoME 3.05, and not 3.02 also, or do I need both?
3. Which order do I need to install them (I know Full version and 2.81 patch need to be installed first)?
4. Do I unzip/install it all to BTS/Mods/ROM, and put the rest (patch, a new dawn and expansion(s)) in that folder (Mods/RoM) or do I need another folder under Mods/RoM (i.e. Mods/RoM/AND (a new dawn))?

I know I have posted question about this before. But it is a long time ago and I can't seem to find it in the thread I thought it was.
Please explain it in a simple way, because my computer knowledge is pretty low (I only use the computer to play games basicly)

Thanks

(edit: I ment "do I have..., and not "do have...")

The compressed files for Rise of Mankind 2.8 and the patch both go into the BtS/Mods folder.

The A New Dawn exe should be run next. When it asks for where to install point it to the Rise of Mankind folder.

You only need ROME 3.05 and it goes into the Rise of Mankind folder.

But the patch will work when I put it in the Mods folder and not Mods/RoM? Somebody sitting next to me just told me that the patch probably have to go into the RoM folder, but he ain't good at this stuff. But he says that's the most logic thing to do. I'm a little confused now...

As for installing A New Dawn, check the FAQ link in my signture. I wrote a step-by-step guide for installation. Once you have that done successfully, then unzip ROME 3.05 and copy it over the Rise of Mankind folder.

The 2.81 patch contains the Rise of Mankind folder so it needs to be installed to the Mods folder.

well I did, but it didn't explain enough for me.. It didn't say where to put the patch

okay thanks guys! I am now about to do as told. I will probably be back with mroe questions, because it is very typical me to screw things up (I am not blonde...just ver much not into computer knowledge;-)

okay only one step left (ROME 3,05). BUT I did get an error message (it's not about that I did not put it under Program Files). I should have written it down but clicked too fast. It said something about woc installer or something. don't know what I have done wrong.
Is it supposed to be 3 RoM folders under BtS/Mods?
I have these folders there:
-Rise of Mankind
-Rise of Mankind 2.8 Full
-Rise of Mankind 2.81 Patch

Maybe I installed A New Down to the wrong folder? I installed it to the Rise of Mankind folder. Maybe I should have choosen the Rise of Mankind 2.8 Full folder? I did not choose that folder, it automaticly chose that folder (Rise of Mankind), so I thought that was the right one.

I uninstalled it and installed it again and the error message I get is: Windows cannot find 'woc_installer.jar.' Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again.
Have no clue what to do....

I did find that woc_installer file in Mods/Rise of mankind 2.8 Full folder. Does that mean I have to install it to that folder and not Mods/Rise of Mankind folder?

Why is there 3 Rise of Mankind folders? did I do something wrong? (I know I asked about that earlier, but I am very confused right now...)

I did try to install it to the Rise of Mankind 2.8 Full folder instead, but it didn't work either. the same error message came up.

I moved the RoM Full folder and the patch into the Rise of Mankind folder, then installed A New Dawn into the Rise of Mankind folder (where the RoM Full and Patch were moved to) and then I extracted the RoME 3.05 into the same folder. I did get the same error message when installing A New Dawn, but I will give it a try. Not today though. I will come back here and write if it was succesfull or not. But please comment on my question. I will check it several times per day to see if anybody have a solution.

THANKS to everybody that have tried to help me. And sorry that I am so ******** when it comes to computer stuff...and that I always ask stupid question.

Don't worry, no question is stupid.:p
First extract Rise of Mankind 2.8 Full in the BTS/Mods folder, then extract the 2.81 patch to the same place. Next install AND in the Rise of Mankind folder. After you install AND, a WOC installer box will pop up which you can close.

I deleted everything and did it over again, but now I only have RoM 2.8 Full folder and the Patch folder, so I installed A New Dawn into the RoM 2.8 Full folder.
Please correct me if this is wrong.

Please ignore that message. It automaticly created a Rise of Mankind folder:-)
