If so how do I get one and does it cost anything.?
Yes, you need an account.
No, it is free.
Do yourself a favour, download the client and sign up.
No it doesn't cost anything, there are no fees like some of the more fanatical nutjobs around here might claim
where is the link to the demo?? all i can see is the full game?
Of course, the demo actually has to be up for this to matter...
The demo *is* up, people are playing it.
(Use this to download it: steam://install/65900 )
just put this in your windows run box:
I've got it downloading as we speak Only 1.5 hrs to wait.....arghghghghg
no offence but im confused how someone could have made "Posts: 1,126" and know so little about civ
or am i missing something?
- Civs 1-3 werent even on steam.
- Some members havent been around for a while and came back for Civ5.
- Lots of non-civ forums here at CFC.
You need Steam Digital Rights Management Software to try out the free demo. I guess they need to protect the free demo against piracy?
With a 4GB size, it's gonna take a while to d/l. Steam speeds are sloooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow, and choppy.
Not going soft on your hard line vs. Steam, are you? You sound almost like you're seeking information about it and considering trying the demo.
Hm, will the demo eventually be available outside steam?
I don't really want to get a steam account just to dl this.
