Do Multiplayer Mods Work?

Forgive me if this is a dumb question, I didn't see an obvious answer in the mods area. If not, will it be enabled at some point soon, in the same way it works for single player?
If MP mods are available, is the installation complex or easy?

Mods are not yet enabled for multiplayer, unless it's hotseat I think.

they seem to work in HotSeat.
And you can use the GiantMultiplayerRobot to turn your HotSeat into a PlayByEmail (PBEM) game, and so you can also have a modded MP game in this way .

Depends on what you mean ^^.
Don't know why it should load slower, but I have no experience with it myself.
But if you mean the turn times between different players...yeah, that's long, but that's also to be expected for such a type of game .

They work in Hotseat only if you've installed Gedemon's Custom Advanced Setup Screen afaik.
