I think imo it's mostly bush's fault and the fault of the republican party - AND the inaction of the democrats. bush COULD be impeached if the democrats weren't too scared to do it. but hell that's a new topic within itself.

Thinking that Democrats, or any politician, do not use their political power to get ahead fiscally is very naive.

BTW Bush could not be impeached, Congress is Republican controlled. And don't say that some Republicans would be for it. I doubt even Ron Paul would be.

That's nonsense. If you asked Americans from anytime probably everytime a majority would be against it, and the Democrats are the minority in both houses, so they couldn't impeach Bush.

It takes a majority of the House just to send an impeachment to the Senate, then it requires a 2/3 majority in the Senate to impeach a President. Unless a President is found to do something outrageous he/she will not be removed from office via impeached. Since the Republicans control the House, it would be extremely difficult just to send a trial to the Senate.

I'm talking about society overall. Think abot it, for example, the 1950s was a period of a lot of conformoty, consumerism, no womens rights, no black rights, aka a pretty conservative society. On the other hand 1960s was pretty liberal with all the civil rights stuff and the hippy movement. watch forest gump so you know what I mean/

Without even real examples, that's true. Eventually, bad things happen. And since we usually rely on the government to prevent such things, we blame the government, and it changes up a little. But it'll always be the same players, because we'd never trust anyone else.
