Yes, in combination with the join date, if it's someone I don't know... If someone has 500 posts and joined in the last month, they are usually worth ignoring.

I only look if there is an unfamiliar face. Doesn't change the fact that I rarely respond to anything.

    Same here.

Often this is the case with myself as well.

You must have posted a ton in the past few months...

I found making the 1st member page more significant than 10k.

Personally, I celebrated 12k more than any other mark.

Sometimes. I usually ignore counts between 400 and 10000. It isn't that big of a deal, but when new people who clearly don't know what they are talking about (like those who recently found FfH and know nothing of the lore but feel entitled to change it) it can be a bit annoying. Also, anyone with a post count over 36000 is clearly a spammer who should be ignored.

Yes I do. If I did notice pc, I'd probably go insane. Most people in the CIV4 forum are waaaaay under me and would make me feel like I don't have a life and most people here are waaaaaay over me and me feel like I'm not dedicated enough.

Yea, I look at it. Frankly, it makes me insecure when I see someone with more posts. That's why I compensate for it by being a jerk.

But why does it matter to you since you obviously don't get jokes? ;)

    That scares me. I'm pale.

Dedicated enough! Man, there's something wrong with that.

It was pretty awesome actually. :D But then it faded away as I realized it was still steadily going up after ~12000 or so when I stopped paying any reugular attention to mine. It's just a number. Reaching the front page would be much cooler than reaching a certain number, but I've got no plans to try to get there. I'm currently #39 in the whole forum, I'd only have to take over some 9 posters. But the difference between me and the last poster on page one is over 700 posts. And there's little point, if any, to attempt this. Especially in what seems to be becoming the busiest period of my life.

Not unless I've never seen them before. Or if they don't use an avatar, because they tend to all blend together to me anyway, with a few notable exceptions.

As a matter of fact, yes. :) Although I do remember suggesting you use the master distiller from Civ4: Colonization.
