Happens to me all the time. It's very strange. I see the black dot on the thread icon when there's a new post in it; I remember reading the thread, and what the thread's about, but I have absolutely no idea what I had posted. As I scroll down I try and imagine what I might have said, but it's normally something completely different...

Just wondering how many people do that too.

I only forget threads intentionally, and that's only if I've been pwned in them.

I usually don't forget because I usually read my post a half dozen times before I hit 'send' (and why sometimes my posts end up being really long because I spent so much time thinking of what their counterpoints to my post will be that I end up using alot of parenthesis adding in excess stuff).

So the post is pretty well ingrained in my head by then, that I remember it for quite some time. I check OT often enough that I usually only have to check page 2 on the 3 days of the week that I work (no computer at work for me, unlike some people....).

Is subscribing when you get sent an email everytime there is a post in the thread? Good God, my email would be flooded. I can see where it would be beneficial for people who don't check the forums often, so a thread otherwise could easily be bumped and they missed it because it drops to page 2, 3, or 4 etc. before they check the forums again. But I check the forum far more often than I check my email.

Most of time it's because it was a long time ago, or it was throwaway comment of no importance.

All the time. I've probably a hundred threads where I never got back and responded to some response because I forget about it while at work the next day or some such thing.

Not on this particular forum (first post), but I tend to do this more especially in necroposted threads.
