I voted No. Democracy is a good system in the hands of intelligent people. But when it's dominated by people who don't understand politics or who vote for the sexiest candidate like it's the case nowadays, forget it.

We have major crisis heading our way, pollution, natural disasters, forests being eradicated, endangered species, and the only thing we're worrying about and thus influencing who we're voting for and even what the candidates will aim to do is the economy.

I vote no. Democracy is, as Sentient169 said, best when in the hands of an informed populace. Amongst sheep, it can be as corrupt and manipulative as dictatorial régimes. Capitalism is good in moderation, but I abhor its 'me first, cash makes right' ethic.
