Ok, so do any of you have political ambitions or are you happy doing small talk here?

It all depends on how ticked off the current politicans make me. Currently, very much ticked off. Not sure what i'll go for or how far though. I'm putting it off to way in the future right now though as I progress too slowly because i don't feel too well health wise.

When I'm bored and old, I'll give it a go. Given my life style and line of work, I should be pretty good at public speaking, lying, pretending to care about strangers, and raising money from a large network of powerful people. And given old age, I should have a nice santa clause trusting looking face to put on posters.

I honestly don't know whose gonna be fit for office in the next generation. All it takes is a little digging and the press/blogs will be privy to a whole host of stupid, extreme and half thought out things that everyone whose ever regularly used the internet has said. I'll probably be disqualified for public office a thousand times over just between a few boards. And I'm sure most others would be too.

Why do you consider the loss of human life to be a "decent" thing? The last time that I checked, "decent" meant something like "in good taste" or "fair" or "respectable".

I mean a respectable war, not a little border skirmish. An actual full blown war when people die and the U.N. doesn't stop it when they feel like it. The 2006 Lebanon conflict was not a war.
