Is it going to just be a chat window where you can contact others through? Is there actually the ability to forge real alliances and treaties with other players?

One of the things I love about Civ3 is the superb diplomatic engine, and I would love it even more if the online version of this would stay true to the one you can play in one player.

But does anybody know anything about this?

I would think, when you contact some other culture that's a human, that it'll show the face of the ruler, but under it, instead of the suggested dialogue from the game, would be a chat box to talk to the person as you proposed deals and such...

But if anybody has any information about it, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Sweeeet. That's what I hoped for. That's awesome. Thanks...

I also hope we can vote for the U.N. winner... although everyone would vote for themselves, and then someone would nuke the U.N. building in fury.

I think it would be similar to the one in Alpha Centauri.
