Does anyone have idea how to do chain upgrade without activating all these units?!

I wishfully do want to know how to do the chain upgrade (that is the ctrl + u) without activating these upgraded units. It's awfully annoying and painstalking having to re-fortify 50 musketmen!

Re-fortify you have to do, but by activating one upgradable unit, and pressing Shift+U you can upgrade all similar units.

You're right -- it's shift + u, not crtl + u

I don't think it's possible though, if they're not located in cities. I have a "Maginot Line" all across Africa on Marla's world map, and it's really a pain in the ass to upgrade all units...
