Last time I looked at that site (which was years ago), many of the file links were dead. Nothing seems to have changed. Of those scenarios/modpacks listed, I only have Escape from Sol. BTW, Kestrel goes by the name David, so the odds are that he/she is a bloke.

Hello! I am searching for the tot scenarios by Kestrel, i have found some (mars, Millennium), but the other ones are imposible to find, i have searched the cradle website, and the Kestrel's website, via web archive, but the links are dead.

Anyone has the complete Kestrel's scenarios collection for tot? I am very interested to play, since i discovered ToT recently, and i really loved It.

14 years too late but @Kestrel18 's excellent ToT scenarios/modpacks are too good to be lost. As a result of some of my search and rescue work I've managed to locate some of the ones you're after and have added them to CFC's downloads section for others to enjoy. Oh and Kestrel is Australian like me so trust me when I say he's a guy as there's no girls called David running around here lol. It is an interesting nic though as I know girls named Kestrel here.

And lastly, I'd best point out that some of my rescues (Multiverse, Unit-Mania Bonus L-U-O-A, Extended Original 4 Worlds, Escape from Sol) were from Cradle of Civ and Kestrel writes on his website that the CoC versions were older than his presumably meaning he had better more polished versions that are still lost, but nevertheless what we've got is better than nothing hey!

Cheers, and more good news has come!

@Knighttime saw my post and kindly messaged me about having even more of Kestrel's stuff. He noted that he'd only downloaded them recently though which puzzled me as nowhere else out there seems to have his stuff so I had another look through his website archive and he has a 'favourites' section (I didn't spend much time in last night) and in there he used a different file host and webarchive backed up the files so the downloads work! I was able to get all the files Knighttime had.

So we now have Kestrel's Millennium Modpack as well as an enhanced 'Plus' version of his original first Unit-Mania modpack which I've added to the CFC downloads section and the above post. The later find is doubly awesome news as one of the mods/scenarios I rescued above last night (Extended Original 4 Worlds) required sound files from the first unit mania so I've fixed that download too (people who already downloaded it will need to get it again sorry).

And finally I did an audit of sorts of his site's downloads to see what was left that's missing and posted the results in my post above. There's not too much missing now which is good news, but I'll still message Kestrel though as it would be good to get the complete collection plus I suspect he may have newer versions of some of the stuff we rescued as he mentions the CoC versions being old on his site.

Yeah I can do that. Although do you guys mean the old wiki site? or is there a special thread in the SL forum where scenarios/mods are posted/cataloged? If it's the later then I've failed miserably at noticing it sorry lol, and will need someone to chuck me a link.

I found the old looking for a scenario thread there the other day and was thinking about bringing it back to life as I can help people in there and I can also list things I've failed to find once my searches are completely finished in a week or two.

Nah don't worry the stuff above is all 'here' now mate. I haven't done any direct linking to WebArchive with Kestrel's stuff. If you look at each of the CFC download pages I setup for his mods above they'll either go to a file I repacked & uploaded to CFC or it'll go to a Cradle of Civ copy which is on CFC's servers as well, meaning all the stuff I found is definitely on CFC's servers now (meaning only Thunderfall pulling the plug will take them out).

Also while I plan to continue uploading everything I've found here to CFC, I also plan to take everything I've collected and stick them in a big zip file which I'll upload to both WebArchive and ModDB for everyone to download and share etc. I'll also have chat with Solver about him and some of his old Poly buddies taking a copy too. So that'll be at least 4 publicly available copies of everything I've rescued. I also plan to try and get copies of other peoples collections (eg Solver's Poly backups and the Atomic CFC backups) and stick them on multiple sites too for safe keeping.

As for a nice wiki entry for each of them, yeah that's certainly possible too, just a few technical hurdles to overcome first.
