[vanilla] Does one of the most essential (IMO) mod for vanilla Civ5 exist ?

Hello,

I re-installed Civ5 vanilla from Steam lately and played it a little... I completed a settler difficulty game building all wonders and already got into this problem a bit... but now with a chieftain difficulty game where I declared war early on another civilization, this comes to be the most annoying thing on earth : just because my opponent had a scout nearby my capital, my workers kept prompting me while doing their job, EVERY SINGLE TURN. That is annoying beyond belief especially when it's in the core of my territory.

Is there anything I can do to prevent this ? Is there any mod that fixes that ? I can't believe there's none because I uninstalled the game completely after that. Civ5 vanilla is unplayable for me because of that.

Thx

I just noticed that you linked a mod in your comment. While it seems I can't find it from Steam, in which folder do I need to copy the file in the game folder, quickly ? (I checked there and didn't find a "mod" folder)

Maybe this mod will "overwrite" the annoying behavior of workers ?

Thx

EDIT : nevermind this requires a BNW only mod component anyway. Then, couldn't you do the mod for me quickly ? Please !

it's a Firaxis DLL feature, but an Lua workaround is possible if you have time to spare 😅
But I thought the DLL was released or something like that ? (unlike Civ6 and Civ7)

So I guess it would take quite much time in Lua... oh well, too bad ; I feel this won't happen then. :(

Thx for the enlightening answer. :)

it means it's possible to make a mod for vanilla, with only changes to UI Lua script, and without need to make a custom DLL (which is a more involved process)
But it would nonetheless take quite some time to develop... I'm not sure what you mean by "involved", is it skills-related or time-related ? Could someone with "high skills" develop such a fix quickly ?

For someone knowledgeable, the Lua fix I have in mind is a quick fix (much less than one hour).
