Does the AI get a barbarian combat bonus?

So, I finally broke down recently and completely re-arranged the order of units so that the unique units no longer always appear at the bottom, and ended up making a small oopsie wherein I forgot to correct the barbarian units and ended up with barbarian Infantry units attack (and losing to) my Spearmen.

This got me thinking about how setting higher barbarian activity level doesn't really have much of a benefit to the player... except if the player was getting a barbarian combat bonus that the AI wasn't. Assuming I'm correct in that the AI does NOT, in fact, get this bonus... I can imagine that the barbarians will be wiping the floor with my enemies in this game for awhile.

BTB, even in the Civ 3 Vanilla editor, in the registry 'Difficulty levels', you can individually set the attack bonus or malus for barbarians in each difficulty level.

Afaik AI gets the combat bonus(and all other values outside the box "AI Bonuses") from regent level. The screenshot by Civinator does not match the values used in unmodded C3C. There regent gives 200% bonus against barbarians.

Observations seem to favour the idea, that AI gets a significant bonus against Barbarians.

To clarify this:

Both posts of justanick and mine are correct - even for the unmodded game.

BTB, is a modder, who is specialised in modding Civ 3 Vanilla. That´s why I answered him for Civ 3 Vanilla and showed a screenshot of the Civ 3 Vanilla editor. Here the attack bonus against the barbarians, that can be modified in the editor, is 100, as shown in my screenshot.

justanick´s post refers to C3C and here the attack bonus against the barbarians, that can be modified in the editor, is 200.

Here is a screenshot of the standard settings of the C3C editor for the unmodded C3C game:

The values for the attack bonus against barbarians were changed during the evolution from Civ 3 Vanilla to C3C.

In the Civ3ConquestsEdit Firaxis informs, that the AI and the human player with attack bonus settings of 200 in C3C (or 100 in Civ 3 Vanilla) have a significant bonus against barbarians. The value must be set to zero to assure, that the barbarians have no combat disadvantage against units of human or AI players.
