Domination Victory Problems

Hi all. First time posting here. Been playing Civ series since Civilization 1. Probably my all time favorite video game series.
But I'm getting VERY frustrated. I recently purchased Play the World.
I installed it and it works great...too great in fact.
Domination victory WON'T TURN OFF!
Ok, I click New Game. Go through all the screens where you set the options (land mass, # of civs, victory conditions, etc).
I set Domination Victory to OFF, however, I still win by domination victory.
Unfortunately, this is ruining some great games for me. Just today I 'lost' out on a chance at a space race win (guessing by the mid 1800's) because I achieved a domination victory in 880 AD. Domination was set to off.
Earlier this week I had a great military game going. Other civs were being unusually aggressive, entering my territory, declaring war when I ordered them to leave. Not accepting peace treaty for peace treaty etc. Lots of stuff I rarely see. I got to around 1300 AD and I finally stabilized and was ready to go on a major offensive...and I achieved a domination victory. Again, domination victory was turned off.
I have Civ 3 and Civ PTW. I recently downloaded patches 1.27 and 1.29. Neither of those helped.
A) Has anybody else run across this problem?
B) Does anybody have any suggestions for a fix?

Try editing your PTW.ini and adding the lines:

domination pct terrain=100
domination % pop=100

That should work, if it doesn't try editing the rules line and change the very last number to a '1', if I remeber right that is the switch to turn of domination.

Thanks Dauntalus. Will I have to do this with every new game I start in which I don't want domination victory?
And (sorry, but I'm really not sure what I'm doing when I go into the files like this) just to make sure I'm in the correct spot, here is a copy/paste from what I think I need to be editing (there was a ptw configuration settings, but no actual ptw.ini):

Can I add the domination % lines at any spot in this text?

That is the ptw.ini, the .ini part is hidden by default if the system know what 'kind' of file it is.

Yes that is what you need to modify, just add a couple of spaces at the end and add it there, that way you can tell just by looking that you added those lines:

Thanks for your help. It was much appreciated. Just had something interesting happen though, I suffered a domination loss!
Was 1st in every category except military service (10th at 2years average) and disease (5th).
However, victory points was on and one civ beat me to 10,000 points. Apparently when you win/loss by victory points its a domination win/loss.
That explains a lot.
