"Don't count on me retiring" says Putin in town hall forum, "Maybe" to 2012

I think that you are reading too much in that statement. But I know little about russian politics.
I exaggerated a bit, given. Yet thats the road you are going if you tell people do be careful and observing - which means being aware of the "danger" all the time. I call that the start of fueling a mass hysteria which is out of proportion. Just watch interviews or polls with the American people after 9/11. There were clear signs of mass hysteria - which is understandable up to a point - but which should not be fueled by the government.
I don't think he meant they should be suspicious of each other. He most likely meant they should be vigilant. Which isn't bad advice. Vigilant airplane passengers have helped prevent a number of airline incidents. Passengers that act up or act suspiciousness are dealt with thanks to the vigilance.
Good point actually. But isn't it still totally exaggerated actually? I mean lets compare deaths through car accidents and deaths through terrorism. I would say we have a clear winner here.
No, by saying it still exists and to be vigilant. When they decide to invade Poland because they might have WMDs, torture and murder innocent people, and monitor everybody's internet traffic, then it might be reasonable to try to equate their actions to GWB and the US.
You know they do torture and murder innocent people actually. But I did not equate them to the US. I actually pointed out a contrast.
Actually, the vast majority of the terrorist attacks which have occurred on US soil have been perpetrated by people who lived here their entire lives: The Black Liberation Army, the Jewish Defense League, the KKK, the Symbionese Liberation Army, the Weathermen, Theodore Kaczynski, Timoth McVeigh, Dr. Bruce Ivins, Eric Rudolph.
Yes yes you are right. But we all know that media presentation and actual existing terrorism are not always the same thing. Saying I was referring to the way terrorism on US-soil is comprehended by the mass media currently.

Hmm, I'm looking forward to the time when president Palin sends US troops into Georgia to take on Putin otherwise known as Vlad the impaler.

Are we talking about Georgia the state or Georgia the nation-state?

Because I can see President Palin ordering a liberation of latter and sending troops into the former.
