Doubles City Defense Wonder flag

Does anyoen know if the Doubles City Defense Wonder flag doubles units' defense while in that city, or by City Defense does firaxis mean halves the chance a city's population or improvrovements will be damaged during bombardment?

I believe it applies just to cultural/building defense (the percentage that you see underneath the city).

AFAIK it only doubles the defense of a unit defending the city. Bombardment defense, which affects buildings and population, is a separate value.

The help text would seem to indicate it doubles the city's defense bonus (so a metro would give +200%), but I've not tested it.

It may be noted that no wonder in epic C3C has it.

Rudimentry testing confirms it doubles the defending unit's defense, which seems he most logical. But you can never be too sure. To be dry.
