- Normal random map
- Emperor level
- 6 Civilizations
- Raging horde barbarians
- Bloodlust

Click this link to download GOTM #3 in .SAV format (71 KB)!

or click this link to download GOTM #3 in ZIP format (7 KB).

btw, I didn't customize the map this time, so if the terrain as brutal as the terrian in GOTM#1, don't blame me. I also didn't look the map this time because I am going to play this GOTM.

This game looks interesting. There is a hut 2 squares away from your settlers, and you start with 2 settlers. I hope you don't reveal barbarians in that hut... have fun playing!

Edit Note: forgot to mention this game is BLOODLUST!

Haha ...Emperor....6 civs !

I've had a lot of trouble winning with those settings. All the other tribes will form an alliance against you.

Good luck...you're gonna need it

Just build the city first Thunderfall!!!
I have never ever had Barbarians come out of a hut that was within City radius!!! That is how I play most of my games - My settlers don't take the huts, the wait until a city has been build, that way you don't need very many military unites!!!!!!!!!

I downloaded it and am playing it. The year is 1988, and I just wiped out the Sioux. These settings are too high for me. It'll probarly be a lousy 10% or something.

Can't download the file properly ....
When I 'clicked' on it, the file was opened/edited in my navigator (netscape 4.76) and if I tried to 'saved as' I had a filed of 71 ko which cause a general error in CivII (MultiPlayer).
I will try again tomorrow at work but if someone can email it to me ...
Maybe another solution would have been to offer a zip file.

Finished GOTM#3 a few minutes ago (and BTW this is not April's fool :) ) by conquering the world in 1885 AD. Am I a true Civ fanatic or what ?! Not too much trouble but needless to say at the moment I'm not telling anyone how I did it...

Played till 1ad and the terrain is good. The fun loving Zulus have conquered more than me so far.I keep getting reports of "Zulus capture this" and "Zulus capture that".They'll be in for surprise if they come knockin thanks to the training of Sun Tzu Forkbeard
I've been having fun exploring, colonizing and civing in general.Seems a shame to curse the world with a campaign of global domination...oh well
Been coming under fairly heavy barb invasions but havn't lost a unit...yet.Horsemen are good at fending off early barbs.A horse before a phalanx in cities on raging is not a bad plan. Then pikemen.Havn't snagged any leaders though.

Surely we haven't found a weakness in the great Shadowdale? What will he do when he can't bribe other civs who are also democracies?

I have never participated playing the GOTM, but I promise I will try this time. The terrain looks OK and I've got enough time (only...the weather is so nice right now...)

Bloodlust? What the heck is Bloodlust?

I only have Civ Classic and have never noticed a Bloodlust option. Can anyone give a short explanation?

When you start a new game, one the the dialog window asks you to select game rules: the choices are 1) Use standard rules 2) Customize rules

You will see the Bloodlust option listed if you pick the Customize rules option.

You can't win by spaceship in Bloodlust mode.

Ah, crud! I must have downloaded the game and started before the edided note came in about it being a bloodlust game. I had played for quite a while when I noticed, but I guess it shouldn't affect me too much as I usually try to control the world quickly in any case.

Here I thought that I had learned my lesson about paying attention to new posts.

My one possible problem is that the Zulus killed off both the English AND the Aztecs before I could get anything major going on. Is there extra bonuses to the score for each civ that you destroy while in bloodlust? Do you not get that bonus if they are wrecked by another civ or by barbarians?
