Can u please tell me what domination limit is ? I am playing a map right now and bound for a score among the high 20K's. No clue what my domination limit is, would like to know though !!

I play C3C 1.22, so if u want to look at my map it is to be found on upload7. Maybe u can tell me what my domination limit is.
u need to download a file called "from ConanConQ to superslug"

Does moonsingers program tell u what the domination limit is before u start a map ? (whatever the h... domination limit is)

Domination limit tells how many tiles you must control to trigger Domination victory. In milking you typically try to reach to Domination limit - 1 tiles as fast as you can so you can get higher score. Dianthus' CrpMapStat tells the limit and other interesting information: www.cfc-dianthus.com

I have finished a new HoF game on Monarch. First time playing C3C and Mayans. The speciality in this game was that I got frustrated to MapFinder because it couldn't find any good starting locations. Then I thought, this sucks, and selected a map with high metrics (I just counted grasslands vs. hills etc.) and started the game. It was just an average start location with a river and one cow. I was badly lagging in score compared to my earlier unfinished HoF attempts, but I decided that I'll play this until the end to see if "good" overall map makes any difference. Those earlier games were played until 1000CE, so I only had Darkness' game and his report to compare after that. It took a very long time until I reached Darkness' mid-time score, maybe I got higher only at around 1750. It was clear that EMan's score would be lower than mine, but I didn't know how high mine would develop. SirPleb's score estimator capped at 1900CE predicting over 37300 points. That was a relief, because Takeo's new score was "only" about 37100. The final score is 37341, which places me to the #1 spot unless someone else ruins my effort before the next update.

I hope Takeo posts his score development, but here's mine for competitors to beat:
1000BCE 315
530BCE 543
10CE 968
500CE 1861
750CE 3098
1000CE 5245 (800 points lower than in my best unfinished effort!)
1350CE 11171
1500CE 15199
1750CE 21466 (just passing Darkness)
1900CE 29182
2050CE 37341

I didn't get a single SGL although I researched almost all the techs first. SGLs suck even more than MGLs, both should be removed from competition games.

Congratulations, was this world another Archipelago map?
Yes, I don't think anyone should try any other for huge milking. I think EMan's score for Pangaia is still a very great one, maybe we should separate them? On the other hand, playing Pangaia has many advantages like the earlier conquest and Wonder benefits, so I'm not really sure.

The one point I had in this game, was that I tried it again, hand-building the Pyramids... I lost LOTS OF land grab in that. I don't think hand-building wonders on Monarch or above is worth it, the main thing is that you need others in near you to build it (them is too late on Monarch). And on the other hand, I don't think I'll play ANY GAME ON LESS THAN A GREAT STARTING POSITION. I was WAY behind my own Pangaia and Darkness' game until late in the game. I think, there's much room for improvement from my current score. You just have to get a good map AND a good starting position. Takeo's was just awesome, I loaded the game and wondered where the cow-run would end :). But his grassland count was just average or below.

Svar, I think we need to do some tests to validate your map metrics regarding final score. I think my game was a good test. I had a great metrics map, but average starting position, but we still are lacking of data for Archipelago maps.

I beat your score on the original Civ 3, Egyptians, pangea.. A lot of time well wasted. 5 months and no update.. Is this feature (HoF) no longer supported?

Suggestions:

1. Ask Thunderfall (PM)
2. Offer to volunteer support of HOF......OR, volunteer me, superslug, boogaboo and others that are willing......
3. Convince Aeson to get back "on the job"! (BUT, wishful thinking can only last so long!)

:)
