The Drop Pod from Warhammer 40,000.

Use it like a helicopter with an ultra-long range (these things are dropped from orbit :) )

Includes Default/Run/Build animations, Pedia pics, sounds and units32.

    Drop Pod 483k

The Preview. The animation is directional so you'll see it dropping in from a suitable direction when you use it.

You might want to try and soften up your shadows a little (I don't know if it's possible), But otherwise it looks awesome! :)

The model I did months ago and took a few hours (I forget how long). The animation I only started three or four hours ago :) (it helps that it only has 3 animations - two of which are single frame 'animations' :D )

    Easiest unit I ever did.

Ah! I always wondered how you get such good run animations, the 9th camera would certainly help. :)

ya it would help but when I do flash animations I use MANY cameras like one too many to get certain angles of what I want.....

I need to try unit making....maybe it could be fun with every thing I have like combining models with others and stuff...should be fun

    Hey perfect!

Just to let Ya'all all know: In the mod this most likely won't be its own unit. It will be tacked onto some units as thier paradrop ability.

Looks cool! :) Are you gonna make the Dreadnought version, too?

I didn't realise that there was a Dreadnought version of the Drop Pod (me old skool :) )

@ Goldflash - You're NOT having WH40k Drop Pods in a WH40k Mod? Do I hear a chorus of boo's and hissing? TGA, go get the tar and feathers!

Naw. Only kidding. Do what you like, mate.

Muffins, yes there are going to be drop pods, but they are unit-specific (this drop animation being included in the unit ini-file).

BTW, nice looking pod  . Do I see correctly, that there are room for 6 individuals (in tabletop I'd call them models) there (the six opening hatches)? ... and there's nobody inside ;) :p

There are 5 hatches and all the troops are ... er ... hiding on the other side. Yeah, that's it. Hiding :)

    Here's a link to some pics: http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/dreaddrop.htm

There's also two versions of the Deathwind Drop Pod. One with assault cannons and one with missile launchers. But I find them useless.

BTW, why haven't you civ-coloured the whole thing like your other Space Marine units?
