Not sure if this has been brought up in it's own thread before but D'tesh Commanders never gain enough xp yo! I had a commander (and her units) lay waste to several peeps and she got .27 xp! This xp amount has not changed in the 267 turns I have had it.

Isn't the way they are supposed to get XP through your own units having to sacrifice themselves to the commander via a "Gift Essence" spell? Lots of the "wretched" D'Tesh units don't get combat XP, but they get the key building material for that civ: SLAVES.

I'll take a look at their commanders, but did you have melee or mounted troops under it? They gain absolutely no xp.
Yeah melee and mounted...I must of gained the xp (.28xp that is) from archers or something?
I think there was an archer or hunter attached to the commander.

Yeah. I think Archers aren't limited that way, but not sure.... The units I tend to use are Arcane and Recon.

Well D'tesh's vision of a society of undead slaves (and perhaps he lets the non-undead minions he has live) doesn't exactly encourage promotion. What about just giving D'tesh commanders some sort of nerfed hero/minor hero promotion to give them a certain amount of xp? Maybe that could be a balance for the civ? No commanders for you D'tesh!
