Dual CRT fuzzy and flickers

System: PIII (4 year old Dell, 933Mhz)
AGP: Radeon 32MB card (primariy monitor)
PCI: Radeon 7000 (secondary monitor)

The secondary monitor starts off normal (after a reboot), but after I leave the system for a few hours, the thing flickers every so often. The screen also gradually becomes pale looking and a little fuzzy.

Before this set up, I tried connecting the two monitors with just one AGP video card (Radeon 9200SE, and a DVI-VGA connector). This was even worse, as the second monitor was always fuzzy.

Anyone have any ideas to what's making the second monitor not work properly? I've tried everything from checking the cords, to toying with the resolution/refresh rate and reinstalling the drivers. Nothing seems to help.

Maybe the monitor iteself is not functioning well?

Is your monitor new enough to have a "test screen" (by turning it on without any signal going in, or via its menu)? You may want to try that.

Try using the secondary monitor by itself - it may be the monitor itself has gone bad.
