Alright so the church I'm at records their services to dvd, and they'd like to get them up on their webpage. Here's the thing, what is the best way to do that? The best I got is using handbrake to convert it to mp4 or something like that, using imovie to edit it down to the parts of the service i want to put up, and then converting that encoding into flv with adobe encoder... but there HAS to be an easier way. So any suggestions or ideas?

Big fancy hard way

Spoiler :
What I'd suggest is using DVD Decrypter to rip it to VOB, then use AutoGK or avi.NET to get it to an AVI (I'd recommend AutoGK, it's slightly easier to use), and then VirtualDubMod can get them to flv. IIRC, you can also use VirtualDubMod to edit it down.

if you have questions go ahead and ask.

I don't know of an easier way, except for either pay or awful quality.

Google brought up this but I don't know if iut's a trial or a malware or what: http://www.flvconverter.biz/vob-to-flv.html

Anyways, IIRC, isn't an MP4 file a FLV anyways? Maybe rename it to a FLV. See what happens.
