Well, we know that Civ4 is coming on DVD in Europe and CD in USA, but there is many different opinions about this.
I know that there's a thread about this already, but this one's with a poll!

    EDIT: I prefer DVD.

Me too, but since I don't have a DVD drive, DVD doesn't work, so...

Doesn't bother me although I prefer one DVD over 2 CD's, simply because it's more handy.

Really doesn't matter to me, either... but one DVD makes it so that I don't have to switch CDs when installing =)

i voted for DVD, but since you all say it's only 2 CD's im fine with that. Its games like Kotor 2, or dungeon siege 2, on four cd's that bug me.

Most computers that are purchased today come with a DVD drive and I would imagine that a majority of PC owners have a DVD drive. It would be much better for all involved if games were released on DVD. For those who do not have one, it is not that much money to upgrade. In the end game manufacturers will not produce 6,7,8 or more CDs, but will simply switch over to a DVD. This process is inevitable and we might as well catch up to the Europeans. My vote is definitely for DVD.

    CD-ROM --- 52x
    DVD-ROM -- 4x if you're lucky

Also, TWO CD's potentially means that you can LAN with your kid brother in the same house ;)

I prefer DVD's over CDs if a game is going to span more than one CD.

I'm for all the reasons to have DVDs that have been stated already, particularly the one about keeping track of less CDs. And since CIV is 2 CDs big, it should be on DVD.

However, both editions (a CD ed. and a DVD ed.) should be available for both US consumers and European consumers, IMO.

Only one of them functions as a play disc I'd assume.
I have a 16x DVD drive and thats three years old. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't there a proportional difference in speed because DVD's run faster? Like a 16x DVD = 48x CD-ROM or something like that?

It doesn't really matter, since I will back up my CD or DVD and play off the backup.
