Hiawatha
Envoy of the Peacemaker
Whenever you or one of your allies make peace with another civilization, you gain +3 Envoys and +100 Diplomatic Favor, increased to +300 with Diplomatic Service and +500 with Ideology. Gain the ability to send Envoys to city-states you are at war with, and any Envoys sent to a city-state you or an ally are at war with count as double. Levied city-state units return half their recruitment cost when their contract runs out or their allegiance switches.
Firekeeper
Likes civilizations who avoid declaring war on his friends, allies, or city-states, and will join wars to protect his friends, allies, and city-states. He will also try to never break an alliance. Dislikes those who attack his friends, allies, or city-states, and those who don’t defend their own.
Jigonsaseh
Mother of Nations
Starts the game with the Inspiration for Diplomatic Service already triggered. Upon researching Diplomatic Service, can partake in a special World Congress event called Mediation; when one of your friends or allies is engaged in war against a party you are neutral with, or against a civilization to whom you are also a friend or ally, you can enter Mediation with them after 10 turns of war have passed. In Mediation, you may spend Diplomatic Favor to help the parties work out a peace agreement as per regular gameplay. Once the agreement is accepted, the war ends, all Grievances between both parties are halved, and you gain +10 Diplomatic Favor per turn for 10 turns. If either party proceeds to declare war upon you, their Grievances against you are doubled and decay twice as slowly. If Sweden is in the game, completing Mediation grants you +10 Victory Points toward a Nobel Peace Prize, increased to +20 with Ideology.
Gaiwoh, Skenon, Gashadenshaa
Likes civilizations at peace who maintain happy, well-fed cities, and will strive to keep her cities growing and supplied with Amenities. Dislikes those with starving or shrinking cities or few Amenities, especially if they declare frequent wars.
Please stay tuned til the end for a deeper explanation on how I imagine Mediation working!
Great Hiawatha, you who helped unite the Five Nations, the noble Haudenosaunee call to you again. Like a wise and caring father, gently guide this family of tribes, this confederacy, through the darkest and most triumphant of times on to a glorious, peaceful future. May your people ever strive to uphold the Great Law of Peace, and spread it to other nations, uniting all mankind as brothers... yet, should this great peace be threatened, may they be unafraid to stand for righteousness, both around the council fire and on the battlefield.
Your reputation as a skilled mediator precedes you, wise Jigonsaseh, and it is this reputation which called the Great Peacemaker to you. Much as he saw in you a powerful voice and commanding presence in pursuing a lasting peace, so too do the Haudenosaunee see in you a capable leader, worthy of praise for generations to come. May all the world's people be one within your longhouse, sharing a meal around your fire, and if troubles arise, may your level head, eloquent words, and wisdom beyond your many years turn their thoughts to peace once more.

I'm still doing some research into traditional Iroquois dances/music (if anyone knows of any specifically about Hiawatha or the Peacemaker, let me know!), so I don't feel confident in picking a representative song yet. But, to whet your appetite and mine, here's a nice little tune that claims to be an "Iroquois Duck Dance." Certainly sounds Civ-y enough!
I also found this song from the Mohawk Nation at Akwesasne which could work well.
The Haudenosaunee have long been one of my favorite Native American cultures to study, and I was quite disappointed when they weren't added into Civ VI. The story of their Confederacy's founding, in addition to the internal politics by which it actually ran, is fascinating to me. It could be argued to be the world's oldest continuous, extant democracy, and some of its ideals even inspired the United States' Founding Fathers, which I chose to reference in jersey #3 up there. I also had a lot of fun researching aspects of the culture to flavor the designs of the civ and its leaders (I ultimately couldn't decide who I wanted, so I decided to make two!) Some of its Civ aspects were a little hard to design, and I wanted to take it in a different direction than Civ V took it, but ultimately, I'm quite happy with what I came up with. It's been a long time coming!

Okay, now on to the confusing business of trying to explain a whole new game mechanic: Mediation.
I feel like I did a decent job of writing out a basic explanation in the above "loading screen" summary, so I'll try not to retread covered ground. Instead, I'm hoping this mockup Mediation screen I made will help explain things a little better, especially for those who are more visual learners.
In this scenario, you, playing as Jigonsaseh, are trying to broker a peace treaty between Teddy Roosevelt and Peter, who've been at war for at least 10 turns now. Looks like maybe Teddy plopped a city down a little too close to Mother Russia, which then got converted and/or snatched up (in no particular order) by Peter the Great. Now, you're friends (or at least neutral) with both of these guys, and you'd rather not see them continue to destroy each other. That's where Mediation comes in! You, as the Mother of Nations, are in a unique place to help keep peace on the world stage. You can spend your hard-earned Diplomatic Favor (and I realize now I forgot to display your total Favor you have to spend! Oops!) to suggest items and terms of negotiation that might be agreeable to both of your friends/acquaintences. You'll also be able to see their Gold and Favor totals, the amount of Grievances they have against each other, and there will be a drop-down menu where you can tack on things like resources, cities, Great Works, and Promises to the treaty. Each side of the screen displays how much Diplomatic Favor those things will cost you, as well as the total amount it will cost to broker the deal (the values here are merely hypothetical for the sake of explanation. It's possible the more Grievances there are between the parties, the costlier it will be to broker peace.)
It looks like both Peter and Teddy are pretty tired of fighting, or at the very least they both have a good enough opinion of you that they're willing to put aside their differences because you asked nicely. However, if both of the parties in this conflict were played by other humans, they would be able to wheel and deal, suggesting or vetoing items on the proposal until they get something they want!
I'm also confident the AI would be able to attempt Mediation, but I'm not sure how good it would be at it. Nonetheless, I think it would be a fun mechanic to include in the game, and it certainly wouldn't have to be restricted to Jigonsaseh if a modder didn't want it to be!
