I remember playing a couple of Earth maps (based on the actual Earth layout) for CivIV vanilla; are there any good ones available for BtS?

I would kind of like to know this too. I haven't really played a Earth map for a LONG time. I know there are BtS ones, but I don't know which ones are good/balanced.

Before my computer crashed I had a good one that I made based on a blank Earth map. The 18 civs I chose were all old world civilizations. I tried to get a good mix of the oldest civs, and other civs to fill up the four main regions of the Old World. Europe had the Celts, Greeks, Romans, Germans and Russia. Africa had Carthage, Mali, Egypt and the Zulu. The Middle East had Babylon, Sumeria, Persia. Asia Japan, China, Korea, Mongolia, India and the Khmer.

This is an Interesting Map if you let it play out. What you tend to see is either Carthage or the Zulu dominating Africa, Rome tends to take over Western Europe, while Russia does its thing in Eastern Europe. Then China is always powerful, and often times Korea is strong as well. In most of the games I play on that map, India often gets conquered by the Persians early. Babylon spreads in to Asia Minor, while the Sumerians take Arabia. I hardly see the Mongols do anything Great. The Greeks do poorly, so does Mansa and the Egyptians. Though, every once and a while the Egyptians have a pretty good eastern African empire, which usually gets smashed by the Zulu at some point. If anyone tries these nations on an Earth Map, I'd love to see how it goes.
