Sorry to bother, I have to replace images for my Civ2 Multiplayer Edition, I tried using resource hacker software but it didn't work well because it crashed if it is a invalid file

Try the program eXeScope.exe I usually have no problems with it when replacing images with the same size

That is strange that you had problems with Resource Hacker as that is what I use to edit MGE's DLL files and have had no problems (eg I replaced every single leader face and the diplomacy screen backgrounds in the Heroes of Might & Magic 2 Civ2 mod). Although I do use an older version of RH so if you're using the latest one then maybe there's some new issues. Or there's an issue with your DLLs and you need a fresh install. GifXtractor is another option but it restricts you to the existing file size so you can't use higher quality images which sucks so Resource Hacker really is the best option (I'll have to look into eXeScope as I've never heard of that one).
