what is the effects of a nuke on citys and units? do they die or disappear.
Uh, if you get hit by a nuke, you die
It depends, the city is cut in half no matter what. So you hit a size 12 city, it goes down to a 6. The units in it may or may not die but should be damaged. As for improvements, they may be destroyed.
In my last game I tac nuked the Chinese who had dropped off 2 armies behind my lines using a transport. Hit the armies. 6 units 2 leaders. Boom, nuke hits. 1 leader and 3 tanks gone. Remaining 3 tanks reduced to regular or conscript level.
ok thanks i was hoping that they would destory a city entirely. but it causes damage and that all that matters. thanks
Beware of the collatoral damage also. Squares surrounding the his become poluted, units within one square ( including yours) may die.
I love the collatoral damage. I nuke a city, wait a turn or two and nuke it again. This kills off the workser the civ has (since they were sent to clean up the polution). Works like a charm.
Some ruthless tactics you got there Sukenis
