EFZI2- The PBEM!

A military task force is deployed to take the City Utilities. Originally they had planned to travel through the Wild Boar Inn, but the amount of civilians lazing about meant that some of them might have been run over during the trip. The task force instead goes the back way around and proceeds on foot towards their objective.

The new Cruiser may help eventually take back some cities on the shoreline, but it's too soon to tell for sure.

Other than that, the usual zombies shot up in the usual places.

I was literally adding the attached file to the email draft when the power supply went out again. :run:

The Authorities are trespassing on Survivor-controlled territory. Civilian jurisdiction overrules military authority. Kindly leave. You shall not pass.

Do not lie, Company as well as Survivor sources have reported Bubba taking a position next to the North Shore industries.

@Bengal, if you had asked kindly I would have accommodated you.

By the time it would have taken to ask and have your troops move, I don't think I would have saved any extra time. Thanks for the offer, though.

And @Takhisis, Sorry about that, I must have misread the boundaries. They'll be out next turn.

Well I am getting Zombies from that region, so thus I have moved him there temporarily to whack some zombies.

Misread the boundaries indeed, you Authoritatrianities.

classical, we're getting Zombies elsewhere, Bubba up there gives you no benefits unless the Authorities are strongarming you into helping them take over the Chemicals factory.

We do not use the Z-word!

The Authorities are proud to announce that the District Central Garage has been restored at the Police Station.

The bad news is that a Colossus was spotted near the bank. It was shot down quickly, but this is likely a sign of things to come.

Other than that no major updates to report.

We have unearthed a huuuge amount of canned soft drinks. Who wants some?

Also, the People's Anti-Zombie Liberation Front of Paradise Island (PAZLF-PI) has decided that Authoritarian presence on private property is unnecessary provocation. Promises of prompt withdrawal have been carried out as even prompter advances. Kindly step off the lands near the Paradise Hotel and Snorkel Beach or expect a chill in relations. While gifts may be considered to be in order for friendship to be restored, gifts that one already has are considered to be paltry at best. Newer scientific research and civilian-state cooperation should be furthered and improved, not stressed by further governmental interference. We repeat our offers of goodwill and accompany them with an offer of gifts for anyone who'd take them, but would like to hear of an appropriate response.

The Authorities do not recognize Civilian authority over Paradise Hotel or Snorkel Beach. All reports say that both are still heavily infested with zombies, and it is our duty to elimimate them same as anywhere else. All of our units have vacated official Civilian territory..

However, we are willing to allow the Civilians to assume control of Paradise Hotel unmolested, however Snorkel Beach is of strategic importance, and we fully intend to free it from the infected ourselves.

The People's Anti-Zombie Liberation Front of Paradise Island does not see how such a need can be, for no Zombies are to be located in the area beyond. We see that as a threat to both urban and rural civilian folk, and once again ask that the military better employ their resources elsewhere.

Snorkel Beach is to be used as a safe haven for cruisers so that they will not be molested by zombie squid, which generally stack and attack any cruisers left out in the open. It is our intention to use Snorkel Beach as a stepping stone so that cruisers will eventually be able to be sent to the Docks.

The People's Anti-Zombie Liberation Fron of Paradise Island decries the use of civilian ground for military appropriations and would be willing to enter negotiations for settlements elsewhere, but repeats their wish for peacefulness upon all in the island. We also feel that land consolidation instead of disgregation would be really beneficial for all parties involved, and would be willing to enter cooperation agreements for really small concessions.

The Military certainly does not want to start straining relations with some of the few living people left on the Island, and perhaps your idea of consolidating land does make more sense.

The Military therefore offers use of the Hospital, which is relatively close to the hub of buildings under Survivor control, in exchange for the Retirement Home, which is located directly between the Coast Guard and much of the (former) military installations.

In addition to this, the military will withdraw their forces from the area, and will not interfere with any territory south of the Coast Guard and west of the Docks.

Does this seem a reasonable solution?
