What are your strategies when using them? I've tried them a lot but progress - statecraft is the only path I've had resounding success with.

Authority will start me off pretty well, but I get noticeably slower in progression than my AI counterparts starting in medieval unless I go statecraft.

Every time I try Artistry I either get sanctioned early and lose my DOFs/research agreements and stagnate as a result, or I get chain DOW'd by most of the civs in perma wars and still wind up stagnating.

If I choose statecraft - imperialism I can either stay ahead or claw back into things once I get aircraft online, but this general strategy would work well any/most civ(s), it doesn't feel Egypt-specific.

Artifacts/lamdmarks have never felt impactful in my games; I get more benefit from the bonus toward wonders, and a tourism victory is never in the cards for me. I've won diplomatic, science and that mix where I'm dominating civs militarily late-game and can choose diplo, science, or domination.

All of my games are on emperor/large 10-20/epic/ and either small continents or now, Milae's map with 2 oceans, standard rifts/width

Can be a bit rediculous with Authority on Pangea.
Only chariots early on to boost production, no warriors/archers.
Fantastic wonder potential with combo of chariots and UA.
Artifacts from Burial Tombs will give a huge boost to science and culture (+5+5 each).

If neighbour terrain is open you can do a chariot rush. But does Authority give war bonus that early? You have to do it before Imperium or it's too late. Maybe Tradition actually helps more with the early boost.

I had to give egypt a shot again and at emperor-epic-pangea it is just too powerful, easily one difficult stronger than a lot other civs (for me).
Authority, get 6-10 (in total) warchariots, prio was stonehenge and terracotta, took what else that was available (and a lot was).
The extra hammers from WC's are nice but the real killer is the culture/science from artifacts which goes very nice with lower side focus, wide and delayed guilds.
It got so rediculous out of hand I got Rifling as free tech from Rationalism - Enlightenment and had Riflemen/Fieldguns before the AI had gunpowder units somewhere around T260 epic speed ...
Adding a screenshot from T268, Leaning tower, Red Fort, Stone Henge, Temple of Artemis and Terracotta is lower down in the the wonder list.
Here Im 8 tech and 4 policys ahead.

So I normally play on Immortal / standard size and time. And while I can get wins with a bunch of other tradition and non-tradition civs, it seems like I just hit a wall with Egypt. Constantly beaten out for TOA and Hanging Gardens despite rushing them (I've seen them go on turn 38 and 67 respectively as of latest patch). Usually 6-8 techs behind when I get to Education, etc.

Unsure why I'm taking such a beating when I can win on the same settings with tradition Germany / America / etc.

Usually, I try Monument -> SH (pick Goddess of Beauty) -> TOA -> Settler -> Shrine -> Settler. I usually try to rush Hanging Gardens, Parthenon, Sankore, But this doesn't seem to be working out.

Yes I work and rotate the specialists in my capital. Yes I know not providing images isn't the most helpful. Still, any general advice?

I play on emperor, so take it with a grain of salt, but I don't think early wonder focus is best for Egypt. I'd focus on utilizing War Chariots and beelining the UB in all cities first, then go in more for midgame wonders. Sure, you can snag one in each era (pyramids are great for Egypt), but you've got a lot of units/settlers/infrastructure to build if you want to maximize Burial Tombs, which are by far the best part of their kit.

I like to play wide Tradition (circa six cities) and conquer/cripple a neighbor if convenient early, then do more traditional Tradition a bit later.

Two things: I feel like getting two wonders in a row so early is extremely greedy, I'm not surprised you're missing out on temple of artemis on this difficulty. And secondly, you are not getting any war chariots, and you should be - the slave labor promotion really synergizes with wonders + you can get tributes + you can conquer neighbours early + they keep the promotion in later eras. Get like 5-8 chariots (and use them!).

I think as Egypt your wonders are a trap. Wonders provide great yields but they took too long to build causing you to sacrifice infrastructure. It is much better to go authority as Egypt.

The most OP part of Egypt's kit is their burial tombs. My go-to strategy for Egypt is to rush pyramids, from then only build settlers to get as many cities as possible, pausing to get other buildings when your pop gets too low. More cities mean more burial tombs, giving you +5:c5science: +5:c5culture: in every city!! That is more yields than even a Great Library + Parthenon combine!! The best part is that you can build burial tombs in all of your cities. You can snowball really hard with Egypt by going expansionist.

I got a Domination Victory with them recently, Emperor, Authority start. Pretty much what ppl suggested here, get those tomb yelds and start snowballing from there. I must say that I very rarely play Authority and not the best warmonger, so I guess their kit carried me :)

I always play with 3rd and 4th components. Mamluks make great tanks!
